Don't think I've ever been to this Starbucks when it wasn't busy. The restaurant itself is clean and the employees are quick and efficient in handling your order, but DON'T use the restroom! On the day I visited, the restroom was filty and there was no toilet paper. When I went to the counter to ask for toilet paper they were too busy to stop and get it so I had to grab a handful of napkins. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do!

Its a Hawaiian tradition you must experience!!! Simple fried dough a Malasada morphs into something amazing. Plain, with cinnamon, or filled they are simple delicious!!! You must take a break from driving, head into the shopping center and spend a short while at the food truck enjoying something heavenly!!!

Take Out, Catering, Hawaiian, Japanese, Local food.
Be prepared to stand in line for your food...they are all pre-made and you go through a line to order what you want. So you could consider this fastfood but not like McDonalds or Jack.
The line goes quickly because they have many people servicing the line, so use your time in line wisely and check out what they have as you wait.
They are not open for dinner, so if you want to buy food for a picnic lunch or snack, go early. On Saturdays, the crowd starts from the morning with people buying food to take to soccer games, or on the road.
Their fish is fresh, their poke is tasty....all their food is tasty...recipes coming mainly from their owner's grandma and wife. While this is not a "sushi" place, the local favorites are cone sushi and Maki (rolled) sushi, which are really great.
Owners are great people!

The Original Highway Inn, founded in 1947, Family Owned and Operated for 3 generations. Serving Local, Hawaiian and American Foods 7 days a week.
My wife and I were looking for a great place that serves Hawaiian food. We were recommended this local favorite from a tour guide. The food is very authentic but we were expecting a little more. The food is served in cafeteria style plates and the quantity leaves a little bit to be desired. The people are very warm and welcoming and made many suggestions. It was good but I don't know if I would recommend it to somebody looking for a wider variety of Hawaiian food.

This review is solely for the Spanish rolls, which they are famous for. These little oblong shaped rolls are melt in your mouth buttery sugary goodness. They have other offerings because they are a bakery, but my go to is the Spanish rolls, which probably 90% of the people go there for. Don't go too late in the day or evening because you might not get them fresh out of the oven, which is how you must eat them.

Food was prepared well and service prompt and courteous. Portions are large and especially enjoyed the bacon burger and hand cut fries. The children's menu and portions were also enjoyed by our two grand-daughters and the waitress made a special effort to get their orders in first so they would not have to wait too long. Only issue was the extra cold air-conditioning which made dining experience less enjoyable.

Delicious lunch with family after the Holiday. The meal was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance in the restaurant leaves you feeling as tho your in Japan. Everything on our boat was fresh and delicious. But what stood out was the amazing batter on the Tempura. The whole experience was great and would highly recommend.

The day we dined at Elena's just so happened to be the day they reopened (expanded?).
The restaurant was very busy, the wait staff was flustered and overwhelmed...mostly trying to keep the buffet stocked and cleaned...not paying much attention to customers who ordered off of the menu.
We ordered what Guy ordered on DDD. We were pleased overall however our Waitress made a mistake with the order, a mistake she never resolved.
The food on the buffet called to me and I will have to come back again and try the buffet.
It was impossible to get our waitress's attention for additional drinks and to pay. In the end we gave up and paid at the counter with no ticket.
I think Elena's was having an overwhelming day and believe it will be better on a calmer/regular day.

Had brunch here on a recent stay and liked it a lot. I had the 3 egg omelet with Portuguese sausage, mushrooms and onions, and my wife had the corned beef and egg breakfast plate. The food was very tasty and my wife who orders this favorite breakfast plate of hers, said that it was the best tasting corned beef that she ever had! Service was good and the only negative comment I could find for this was that they didn't refill my coffee quick enough! No big deal though.

The service was amazing and have zero complaints about this place. Very easy to find and the people there are awesome. The menu is smaller but goes to the point and was very good. The spicy level is really good and if youre a fan of heat then definately get it. No complaints about my visit here.
