Great barbecue joint in Waingapu. Highly recommended. I would like to review it
I came here, basically because i was in need to find a place with wi-fi which they have and works also pretty well. A part from that, the food is nice at very reasonable price and the staff is very kind. Absolutely suggested...

In the morning I eat at the market, where rrts do a tango , for my fav fish dish and very strong Sumba coffee, but in the evening my heart goes to leslies' and then I retreat with a few beers ( not bought at the restaurant but locally for 30k, to the roof top of the merlin. the ends of the earth lie in Savu Raijua. Stay in in small native hut when you hit the roof beams till your scalp bleeds and the neighbours say, Sakit Mr Cornelis, but that is not what I said

Fancy deco, good food, and Lucy, the owner, is realky nice and helpful.
I m living in Sumba, and for me it s the best place to have a drink, meet friends, get info about Sumba. If you need a driver, or anything else, Lucy and her husband will help you. Free and good wifi. Take away. Don t miss it !

I went there because my guide said it was the most famous seafood place, maybe it is. But it's just not in the standard. Seafood selection was limited, place is a bit dirty, and it took 1 hour for the food. And it doesnt taste that good.

We visited the resto twice, first time for dinner and the next day for lunch.
On our first visit, we couldn't quite see anything aorund us, because it was pitch dark. The next day was when we found out that the restaurant was surrounded by such beautiful scenery of hills and river.. picture perfect!
Food was really good, majorly seafood, with a short listed menu
Dining outside would be the best choice for Seating, you can eat while enjoying the scenery. Must try!

I am a Westerner who is privileged to spend a couple months a year in Waingapu. Yenny's is my #1 favorite place to eat. They have properly (safe) prepared, delicious food. The restaurant is clean and accessible. They also have a bakery with delicious baked goods. This is a can't miss recommendation!

We came here for dinner, watched the sun setting, ordered a few dishes from the menu. Ikan bakar permata, kangkung hot plate, beef hot plate, soup jagung asparagus. Love every dish especially the ikan bakar permata. They have their yummy special sauce, not the common general grilled fish out there. They have chinese tea! Which is a plus. I don’t find it anywhere else in Waingapu.
