Waihi Beach is a coastal town at the western end of the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand's North Island. It lies 10 kilometres to the east of the town of Waihi, at the foot of the Coromandel Peninsula. The main beach itself extends approximately 10 kilometres to the south with the small settlement of Bowentown at its southern end. The headland at the southern of the beach is on the northern side of the northern (Katikati) entrance to Tauranga Harbour. Waihi Beach had a population of 1773 at the 2006 New Zealand Census but that number skyrockets to 16,000 in the Summer.

Flatwhite beachfront cafe is located at Waihi Beach, Western Bay of PLenty, New Zealand. We are open 7 days and 7 nights (that’s pretty much all the time) and love serving great food in our fabulous beach location. Our friendly staff and casual atmosphere will make you feel so welcome, you may not want to leave (which is fine by us). If you just want to join us for a coffee and a piece of something delicious from our cake cabinet, hold your next work function or celebration party with us or dinner for two...anything goes. We are fully licensed and have a range of tasty items on our menu for all members of the family. We look forward to seeing you soon and if you are not sure how to find us (some say it’s a bit tricky) then please check out our map on our website.

We love coming to Gunners View, we've celebrated many family birthdays here and our church also come for lunch from time to time. Excellent value meals. The fish is always fresh, the smorgasbord has a good selection. The chef is great and the staff willing to help and are always very pleasant

The Porch Waihi Beach is located in the bustling village centre of Wilson Rd. Enjoy a coffee or a beer and watch the world go by on hot summer afternoons, or enjoy homemade soup by our cozy wood fire on wintery days. We offer a delicious range of freshly made cabinet food including gluten free goodies in addition to our breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar and children's menus. Contact us for function and event bookings.
We were advised by our hosts that there was no point in going here on a Saturday night, as it would be packed out. But we went anyway.
We had the choice of two tables, the service was first class, and the quality of the food was very good too.
Slight hiccup with me ordering beef skewers and being served chicken ones, but the quality more than made up for it!

I went with my son who was visiting from Australia.
We had warm lightly flavoured milk,I think it was a thick shake so they said. Then bacon and cheese pancake which was like a mess all cooked together. I have had pancakes in America and Auckland and you usually get about three nice pancakes with bacon or whatever you order on top them you can add your maple syrup. This outfit needs to learn what a awful lunch

I am rather blessed - I happen to live but one kilometre from them! After visiting several excellent cafes nearby, I settled on them for my once a week cafe event. A year later I have not had one regret. Excellent range and pricing structure. Great coffee. Always a smile along with cheerful service. Be aware; one of their almond croissants warmed up is highly addictive.

Above-average Indian food from this small restaurant in the main shopping area of Waihi Beach. We pre-ordered a meal for four people at 4.30pm to be collected at 6pm and it was ready exactly on time. Generous portions of tasty food at reasonable prices, if you enjoy curry you won't be disappointed here!

please pop in, grab a menu, bring children &/or pets and enjoy!!!!! We love the buzz of people trying to decide what to have off of the menu. We are an award winning cafe for 2017 in NZ cafe of the year competition and are totally stoked! Our Gardens have Sunshine all day so come chill, relax choose a craft beer or a glass of the worlds finest wine (NZ or course) and eat wholesome hand crafted food :) We are a little wee place where people get together!!
Just a whisper about a birthday (or two) at our table had the team dancing, singing, ghetto-blasting and generally bring all celebrations to us. And our special treat--the blueberry, banana, ice cream, cream and everything you can imagine on a super-sized pancake! With candles and hats. Special, is what the Shack is to us. Simply special.
