A small guesthouse located in a small village between Melnik and Litomerice. It has rather basic standard, but is new, clean and cheap. You can use a self-service kitchen, there is also a grocery store in the same building downstairs.

Pension Grasel is located about 15 km from Vranov Dam / Bitov . The new Syrovice is known for the birth of the famous J G Grasel, who made the word GRAZL. The restaurant is divided into two lounges - a pub and restaurant. In the restaurant we offer the possibility of social events such as birthdays, training. Estaurant serves as a reception for guests. The pub is now newly renovated and connected to the summer garden, which is also newly renovated and fully roofed. There is also the possibility of using an indoor saltwater pool with a counterflow, a whirlpool and an infrared sauna. The rooms are located in the attic of the restaurant, are modernly equipped and tastefully furnished. Each room has its own bathroom. They are also equipped with a TV, fridge, safe, hairdryer, towels and bathrobes. Wifi is available in the entire building of the pension FREE. Where to go? Grasel's Trail, Bitov Castle, Corstejn Castle Ruins, Vranc Cannabis Farm,Chateau Vranov Water Reservoir

Opravdové ubytování na zámku. Skvělý areál okolo, stromy, travnaté plochy s hřištěm pro děti a tenisovými a volejbalovými kurty, vstřícná obsluha, Wi-Fi. Jediná jemná výtka - některé zařízení pokojů (postele, povlečení, i když pohodlné) se do stylu moc nehodilo. You really stay at a chatteau. Great surronding premises and ambiente- trees, lawns with kids playground, tenis and volleyball courts, obliging staff, Wi- Fi. The only slight minus - some furniture in the rooms (e.g. beds and bedlinen, though comfortable) do not match the chatteau style much

We were on our bikes so had to climb up the hill to get to the hotel which was fine. There was a decent restaurant on-site so we did not have far to go for dinner. The owner allowed us to store the bikes in our room (they are spotlessly clean) which was no problem with such a large room. The room was big, the bed comfy, the bathroom spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water for a great shower. The included breakfasr consisted of cereals, breads, cured meats, cheeses, yogourt, grapes and delicious capps from the Saeco machine. Overall, verg pleased with the place.

The property has light clean look, plenty of wooden floors and stairs, painted glass windows and lights. We stayed in the Small Apartment which was spacious and had everything that one could need for a weekend (or a week): fully equipped kitchen which is joint with the living and sleeping area so it feels like a real living space. There is TV and WiFi and a working woodburner (the wood and matches were ready on our arrival). The apartment was very clean and nicely warm (there is central heating if you do not fancy testing the woodburner). Bathroom (also quite spacious) had a shower. While the room has a kettle and fridge and freezer, we paid for breakfast which was nice (Czech type: rolls, cheeses, ham, yogurts, cereal and tea or coffee). The owners and the lady serving breakfast were friendly.

Somewhat off the track for English speakers but we found ourselves well received in our language. The room in the annex was newly refurbished and although plain and lacking any extras was clean and comfortable. We also had dinner here which was excellent. No credit cards though! Take plenty of cash.

There is more to say but I will start with the charges. I made a reservation through a booking agency that confirmed a price for our room (including taxes) to be 1436 Czech Crowns. We made arrangements for breakfasts at 67 Kc/ea. At registration I was charged 1520 Kc for the room and 90 Kc/ea. for the breakfasts; without explanation. US$7.65 is not an onerous amount but the principle of increasing charges is enough to prevent me from returning to, or recommending, this pension to others. Going on, beware that there is no signage or indication where reception is located. We spent extra time hunting down the proprietor in order to secure our room. When we arrived at 4 pm, our room was not completely ready for us. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes for maintenance and repairs to be made. In the end, I would characterize the room (two-room suite) as basic or bordering on Spartan, no frills; truly two-star. Did I mention that the booking agent and confirmation told us that check out was set at noon. The proprietor told us three times that we must be out by 10:00 am. The proprietor speaks only very limited English. Had I not been able to speak basic Czech, communication would have been very difficult; be advised. On the up side, the location is close enough to the center of tourist attractions, restaurants, grocery, etc. Just beware that the nearby shops close at 4-4:30 pm. Later amenities are found on the main square at much higher prices. If I return to Telc, I will find another accommodation.

Spazals are a charming family operating a gift store and this hotel, One feels entering a private home, yet feeling and enjoying complete freedom of moving around. Their is a kitchen for you to use, but there are several coffee houses if you prefer to visit for your breakfast. This homey place is located on the historical central square. For me, it is the only place I would pass my dreamy nights in. I visit Telc annually.
