Das 4 Sterne Landhotel Stockerwirt liegt ruhig gelegen im wunderschönen Bergdorf Vorderstoder, eingerahmt vom Toten Gebirge mit herrllicher Aussicht auf die imposante Bergwelt am Rande des Nationalpark Kalkalpen. Wir verfügen über eine Panoramahallenbad, sowie einem feinen Wellnessbereich mit Biosauna, Kräuterdampfbad, finnischer Panorama-Aussensauna und Panorama-Ruheraum.

Reviewed By marysG5416UKThis was our third visit and we will be back again. You always get a warm welcome from all the staff. It is like staying with friends. The hotel is always immaculate and the Spa area and pool are of a very high standard. You will not be disappointed with the food. Breakfast is a sumptuous buffet plus cooked choices as well, The evening meals are varied and always have an interesting sekection, There is something for everybody.

Reviewed By amphitryonHaving known this place since the late sixties, while it was a quite nice but simple mountain farm cum restaurant with a few rooms, we had to come back after all this time, once I saw the recent and new developments on the internet. My wife and I spent three nights recently and wished we had allotted more time for our stay. From the lovely renovated but authentic guest rooms, to the very modern Wellness area, infinity pool and great cuisine, nothing was missing, especially when you added the view from there: the chain of mountains of the Garstner Valley are right in your face, set off against a backdrop of lush green pastures with cattle happily grazing all around you. The fresh milk and butter and some jams for your breakfast table come direct from this working farm! The resort itself is very modern, while still retaining the local character of a working farm, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. Your location, while about a half an hour drive away from the next larger town, Windischgarsten, is still a great place to plan some hikes and visits to the very interesting areas in the surrounding hills and valleys; too many destinations nearby, to list them all. And even if you are not a serious climber, a trip up to the Linzerhaus, via a comfortable ''mountain railway'' is a must if you are in the region.

Quiet mountains holidays
Reviewed By Lenka KVery nice bauernhof in beautiful quiet place, surrounding only by forests and mountains. Big apartements, absolutely clean and well equiped. Sauna, playroom for children. Friendly owners, everytime ready to help. Tasty home made cakes as a welcome present. With pleasure to come again.

Lovely place
Reviewed By Mart001-vThis was a real joy to stay. Lovely room, good food, and beautiful surroundings. The hospitality of the family running the hotel was very impressive - they were extremely kind and helpful. We were there in the summer season and then ther is also plenty to see and do in the area.

Kann man machen - muss man aber nicht
Reviewed By 606norbertlFormulieren wir es positiv. Man kann seinen Urlaub hier verbringen, man muss es aber nicht. Es ist ein ökologischer Hof, der nach all seinen Möglichkeiten versucht dies umzusetzen. Bekannt wird der Hof immer wieder dadurch, dass z.B. Skilangläufer über die Wiese fahren und dann diese Personen in einen Rechtsstreit verwickelt werden, da man die Wiese nicht betreten darf. Auf Schäden in der Ferienwohnung wurde nur durch hinzuziehen des Ortsbürgermeisters etwas behoben. Angebliche Diebstähle von Besteck wurde uns bei der Endabnahme der Wohnung vorgeworfen. Leider gab es keine Liste, bei der beim Einzug alles aufgelistet wurde und so hatte man am Ende noch Streit. Während des Aufenthaltes erhielt man unfreiwillig jeden Abend Hausmusik, die so aussah, dass sich die hauseigenen Kinder an den unterschiedlichsten Musikinstrumenten erprobten. Aber man ist tolerant und auch ein Mozart hat mal klein angefangen. Bei unseren Kindern wurden die Hausbesitzer nur noch Bio-Marie und Öko-Karl genannt.
