My wife and I spent a week in Thessaloniki and spent the first afternoon & early evening looking for restaurants with a varied menu. 25ari was crowded and obviously popular with the locals, which we like. Went for dinner that evening and I ordered sardines and my wife asked for tuna steak; we like good food, but still keep to the British one course at a time routine, which must surprise any Greeks who have meze and dozens of small dishes on the table. The waiter was very friendly and obliging. The obligatory water and bread were on the table within seconds whilst we were drinking a nice white wine. When the food arrived I was amazed at the twenty-five sardines that were piled on the plate. I had them first in Barcelona and they were larger and fewer. I would add that such fish come alone on the plate without vegetables or salad, so we had ordered a tomato salad to share. The salad was a meal in itself. My wife's tune steak was enormous and perfectly cooked. The total meal with wine was about â¬25, around half of what it could have been in the UK for the size and fresher. We did try another restaurant, but were disappointed, as it was a fish restaurant, but had run out of fish! The nice touch in every restaurant we visited in Thessaloniki and Volos was the 'freebie' after, either a drink or something tasty to eat. It is of course included in the price of the food, but is a nice gesture to make you want to return. In the case of 25ari it is a small, but refreshing choc-ice. We ate there for the rest of our stay and got known by the staff, which made for a friendlier and enjoyable atmosphere. I can recommend the restaurant and all the dishes. If we went back to Volos we would definitely continue to go there.

The only ethnic restaurant in Volos with a unique menu inspired by mexican, japanese, indian, thai, mediterranean cuisine or authentic homemade recipes, like our juicy burgers or traditional greek dishes. An ideal place for the first coffee of the day, th

This is a great seafront place to try great seafood dished and tsipouro. Make sure you try the grilled octopus and do try the tsipouro with meze. The service was great and we also received complimentary dessert. Overall great food and experience!

Right on the beach with superb views across the gulf to the island of Evia. Friendly service. Seafood is excellent, but cooked from fresh, so do not eat here if in a hurry. My mussels took over half an hour to arrive but were well worth waiting for. Not sure how long it took to prepare the bill, but that took quite a while to come too!

Friendly stuff, amazing spot, reasonable prices and unique seafood. To Kyma restaurant serves only fresh seafood and not frozen. Nothing is frozen. They even mention it on their menu, but wait until you get the fried squid and the schrimps. Theis cuisine is amazing.

If yes YOU ARE ON THE BEST MEZE/TAPAS PLACE in GREECE!!!!!! All the dishes that we order was excellent flavor and presentation the fried cheese-Saganaki, was the best by far!!!! Unique food excellent environment fast service and the best tsipouro (traditional Greek alcohol with or without anise flavor)!!!!!!! Prices very reasonable every tsipouro order coming with different meze every time and cost 3,5 euro!!! Individual dishes plus tsipouro will come max to 15 euro per person!!!!

The service in this place (recommended by our landlord!) was SO APPALLING I can't even remember what the food was like! The waiters treat you as though you're lucky to be eating in their establishment (when the village offers at least another 10 far better restaurants). Then they tell you the day's special (1 dish) and immediately ask how many portions you want. When you say you'd rather see the full menu because the dish of the day isn't to your liking (in our case, pork souvlaki, in a restaurant right on the sea!!!), they look at you as if you've asked for the moon, then grudgingly bring you ONE menu for EIGHT people. Ridiculous. Never again.

Based on the long Volos' history of restaurants (Tsipouradika) serving Tsipouro spirit accompanied with mezze , MeZen is a breakthrough "Tsipouradiko" , making traditional mezze along with over 50 different Tsipouro and Ouzo spirits from all over Greece.F
Came with a trip advisor app recommendation. Was close to where we walked. Food was soo good. Ate many small tapas. Food was not the standard one. Each dish with a nice twist. Even the bread. Highly recommend if youâre coming for a daily visit in Volos

this is a neighbourhood favourite restaurant, it is situated in on the Main Street away from the tourist area, a good sign for those looking for value for money.the concept here is that you can order a Mezzeh dinner i.e. you get a few dishes with starters or you order from the menu.we went for the Mezzeh stye dinner and every time your order the Greek Annis drink, you get 3-4 additional dishes, so, the more you drink the more food you get.a civilised approach to eating :)the food was overwhelm quite good, fresh and tasty.this place has no unique atmosphere, it is a simple place with fishbowl concept design where the restaurant walls are made of glass so the street bypassing crowd can peek inside your plate.....good food.

Now this may not be the poshist or the Michelin standard of cuisine , but it was one of the BEST fish restaurant I have eaten in.I arrive at this conclusion when I try and put the sum of all the attributes together, such as the quality of the food, the ambiance, the great mezedes that you can order or that you receive every time you order a tsipouro or an Ouzo. Also the dessert to end the meal with are mouth watering. Add to this the great service of the waiter anf the attention that the Boss gives, then you have the formula for "a wee gem of a place".This place only has about 8-9 tables but the atmosphere whether busy or quiet is great.Nearly forgot....prices are very, very reasonable. As I write this the juices are filling up in my mouth. What more is there to say.....Highly recommended !! Super !BTW...went back the following evening and it was just as good as before ( not a one off )
