I believe this is the Parisian Cafe in Vologda that I was at twice during my stay. It was recommended by some friends and we stopped by and really enjoyed it. Relaxing atmosphere for a light meal/snack. Food was good as well as coffee. Will be here again if in Vologda.

When we checked the list of restaurants in Vologda, there were no doubts that we should go to vereshchagin for dinner! And it really met our expectations. Interior is ok, service on good level, prices are acceptable. And food is really yammy!!! What we ordered: borsch, mushroom cream soup, fried cheese with cranberry purée (this is my favorite one, you should try!!!), boar and deer cutlets, some nice Perm pies and traditional Russian tinctures. We were surprised to see only few visitors at Saturday evening in such a nice place - might be because of not perfect location, it took us roughly 15min to walk from Kremlin.

Restaurant is smooth, clean, nice.
Food is expensive but decent quality. Tasteful, but smallish portions.
Waiters are reserved and distant as in most Russian places.
Price examples:
9€ -a Bucatini pasta with sea-fruit
5€ -Greek salat (small portion!)
4€ -Minestrone soup
3€ -0,5 draft beer Imperial
This beer I payed double price, perhaps because they've recognized me as foreigner and they gave it try to trick me. And they succeed. I got charged by two beers. It is not big deal of money for me of course, but I guess it is for them since they are willing to jeopardize their reputation for 3€.
They are trying to produce European/Italian atmosphere, but they didn't consider educating their personnel for sincere and warm interaction with guests.
I didn't go back for another dinner, because of a bad memory I was left with.

If you like homemade Russian food at very reasonable price this place is for you. Starters, appetizers, salads, soups, main courses, Deserts - all very tasty and appealing. You choose what you want and pay at the cashier. Hard not to overeat, everything looks and tastes too good.

We went to Sem Vecherov for a family lunch on Sunday. Interior is a bit old fashioned and not really cosy.
We ordered some local specialities (Stroganov, pelmenis) which arrived luke warm and not tasty. Price level is average but you can find much better service and food for this price elsewhere in town.

Один из лучших ресторанов русской кухни в Вологде, по моему мнению! Очень любим сюда ходить! Своё пиво из Устюга. Блюда больши и вкусные.!!! Рекомендую к посещению гостям города.

Gastropub is a bar, restaurant and a cozy living room all in one. Our menu includes top positions from all over the world, the chef carefully monitors the quality of products and the aesthetics of filing. Our bar presents an impressive collection of alcohol: homemade liqueurs, rare bitters. Our bartenders prepare natural syrups for beverages out of spices, mashed berries and juices.
We visited the restaurant because heard of its unusual design and non-traditional setting. Needed a reservation to get in, people were turned away without reservation, although the place is fairly small so it might not be due to its popularity. It was five people in the party and after we were done the common feeling was that we've just picked the wrong place. Very expensive, very slow service, food was prepared 'soulless', small portions. It was eatable but that was about it although the menu items had fancy names. Unusually expensive alcohol, no choice of two vodkas, even a bottle of Russian had outrageous price. I'd say between poor and terrible and give it a poor rating only because we stayed and finished dinner instead of finding a better place. NO MORE going there.
