Large variety of dishes with all-fresh, bio, local ingredients. All splendid, the starters, the main dishes, desserts, etc. One of the best taverns to eat traditional Greek food not only in the island of Chios but in Greece. A family business that loves cooking and every dish is made with love and care. Amazing flavors and tastes and one of the best Greek hospitality and service you can find. There are no words in any language that can describe the taste of the food and the feeling of ingredients touching the palate. Well done to the whole family for keeping this restaurant a true jewel.

The fried saganaki was excellent and had mastica drizzled on top. The balance was v good as well. They had some interesting olives that you should be sure to ask for.

Great food and wine! The store is a more concealed location hidden behind aore frequently visited tavern, however; the mavro provato "black sheep" has exceptionally well prepared food and a relaxing environment. Im very pleased. I will definitely re-visit!

On the 1st of May there was a folk festival there, with a very good folk-music group. The barbecue was great, fresh and nice meat, sausages, smoked stakes etc. The big trees gave a good shade.
What I didn't like was the lack of views. It's located oh the road, opposite the wall of the church.

Best location, at the quiet edge of a nice little port. Picturesque for lunch; romantic for dinner; idyllic for a drink at night under the sounds of soft jazz and rock. It offers few but interesting dishes and fantastic salads both in decoration and taste! Also very cute decoration inside!
The service is very friendly but rather slow (may be because everything is freshly cooked) so it takes a little patience to enjoy your plate.
Sometimes, not often I was told, ugly music from nearby tavernas spoil the sense.

This looks like a totally ordinary, generic small-town Greek taverna -- and it is, but everything is extremely well done. The kebab, french fries, egglant dip and zucchini balls were all the best we had in a two week trip, the choriatiki was extremely fresh -- in its own way, it was all at least as good as the famous Ta Fabrika. Plus deep shade and efficient wifi -- so, basically the ideal Greek taverna, at least for lunch....

Το μπαράκι βρίσκεται πίσω και κάτω απ το κάστρο της Βολισσου. Είναι οργανωμένο σε δύο ή τρία επίπεδα. Πάνω πάνω απ την ταράτσα, προσφέρει μια εκπληκτική θέα προς τα πετρόκτιστα, τα γύρω βουνά και φυσικά την απέραντη θάλασσα. Η μουσική του soft rock κυρίως, αγαπημένα κομμάτια των περασμένων δεκαετιών, που δένουν λυτρωτικά με τη θέα και αργότερα με τον έναστρο ουρανό!
Είναι must για απογευματινό καφέ ή για ποτάκι αργά το βράδυ!
