Cafe-brasserie and culinary shop in Volgograd, Russia.
This is a very easy going restaurant where you can pick and choose from all the Russian favorites, starters, main plates and desserts. It's cheerful and friendly too and even has a baby seat. The quality of the food is great too, so all in all my favorite place in town for an uncomplicated lunch, and quick if it has to be.Thnx! Come again!

"Gretel" is a cosy European cafe in the centre of Volgograd. We are glad to serve you a delicious continental breakfast or a proper lunch, wonderful desserts of all kinds, hand-made chocolate sweets and newly-baked pastry! Bienvenue!
Today Saturday morning, thanks to Gretel opening 7:30 early morning. Interior is in fairytale book. Cosy and beautiful. They serve water named "Dona" as same as my name! Breakfast is delicious. Kind young employees. They bake and sell fresh buns, croissane, cakes. They have also outside cosy tables, too.We are so glad you liked your morning in Gretel Cafe! Looking forward to seeing you again!

While in Volgograd, after a long day of touring around, I was just about to meet with someone when I got the message cancelling everything. In cold December, cappuccino is a well-placed, cozy and refined coffee place. The drink to its name is quite well but black tea is amazing. Prices are accordingly to the rest of the city.

Were been here several times.I feel contradictory feelings to this restaurant. On the one hand, there is really nice atmosphere, delicious and exotic food, such as the sea urchin. But on the other hand, you can get there at the wrong time, when the dishes are so-so and so crowded that you have to wait for service for a long time. Our first visit, in 2014, was exellent - attentive staff, great food :) Our last visit, nov.2015, really disappointed me. Absolutely attentive waiter,I spent a half hourafter ordering, to hear that fish is not available today. Ok. After ordering another dish, got it absolutly not salted :(
