Reviews on German food in Volgograd, Volgograd Oblast, Russia. Known as Stalingrad during much of the Soviet era, Volgograd is now an important industrial city of just over a million people. During World War II, the hill of Mamayev Kurgan was one of the bloodiest locales of the Battle of Stalingrad (the deadliest battle in history, claiming a million and a half lives), and is now the site of a memorial complex. The Panorama Museum, named for the massive Battle of Stalingrad panoramic painting it houses, is another of the city’s most popular attractions.

Was here for 2 World Cup games. Went to this bar about 5 times. Very nice beer and wonderful sausages. We tried numerous items on the menu and all were good. Do not be fooled by the entrance door, once down the stairs you will see how nice it is.

I stayed at ParkInn hotel in Volgograd for several days and thus visited this restaurant many times. I tried various dishes and must say, that all of them were delicious and well served! Some samples you can see on the photo. Service was cheerful and quick enough, though the staff has very basic knowledge of english. What is good: many dishes from the menue come in two sizes, so you can select either small or large portion. I would say prices were also very reasonable. Two persons could eat for 15-20EUR.Keeping in mind, that there are really few good options to eat in Volgograd - this one is among the best, especially in terms value for money.
