Things to do in Leyte Island
Eating at this place while you're a very passive person is challenging. You won't be noticed by the staff unless you approach them. I've been walking back & forth to the counter just to follow-up our rice and refills (we availed the Unli Chicken promo), yeah you guys nod but when I go back, you look puzzled as if you forgot. Passive as I am, I didn't mind.I get it okay, you're all busy doing your stuff around the place, it's tiring when you have a lot to do and us customers ask for a lot. But you could've added more staff 'cuz it seems like you're understaffed. The chicken was very good tbh, it's just that the serving took forever to arrive.I believe my money wasn't worth it.No hard feelings to the staff, just poor service. Thank you.
Not far from PACCI and the port is this unassuming eatery that serves amazing food. It may be small-ish, but for me, this just makes the setting appear intimate. The painted butterflies and birds on the wall make the place look charming, too. Food choices aren't limited. I think they have something for everybody -- menu is quite diverse. They have pasta, burgers, rice meals. They have something for those with sweet tooth or those who want to take things lightly (light bites). They also serve cold beer (yes, as cold as your ex's heart) - which to me is a bit out of place for this sweet and charming bistro. The burger may be one of the best I ever tried. Nothing fancy, though. Just plain meaty patty and generous amount of coleslaw. First bite hit right at home - just how my ma prepare hers. The spaghetti my companion had looked yummy too - generous pouring of sauce that did not scrimp on ground meat. And they're not pricey at all. You get what you pay for. We actually planned on dining here again on our second night. Sadly, we had to go back to Tacloban due to bad weather and the second meeting with 1620 did not happen. So 1620, wait for me! I'll be back for the elusive Kalanggaman and for you!

For some reason, hundreds throng to this place every day. That may be the reason, the staff care least to address the needs of the customers. I went couple of times there, needed to check about the food before eating. There was no one who could find some time to explain. In the end, i ordered some simple burgers, which i thought i could have enjoyed better in some other tried ad tested joints.
I have frequented this cafe recently mainly for cold drinks and Wi-Fi. Also a friend was staying at the hotel. Today I sat down and was never approached by the wait staff with a menu as I had been in the past. A manager finally asked if I needed a menu. I decided to order a chicken sandwich. When it came there was no chicken on it. I showed the waitress this and she took it back to the kitchen. When she came back, she explained that it was " minced into the bread." She then asked if I would rather have a club sandwich. I decided to just have the raspberry soda I ordered. It was cool and tasty. I had had one on a previous visit.
We offer different variety of foods that will suit your taste!
The cafe is quite cute, they have a variety of selections from their menu. The prices range from 30-130 pesos. Tried their mango shake and was super yummy! This is one of the small cafe's one doesn't usually see in a province like city of Maasin.
Real coffee has finally arrived in Tacloban! As the first of its kind in the city, Brews + Breakfast is a café that fuses both Third Wave and Second Wave specialty coffee for the Taclobanons. It also serves delectable breakfast and light meals perfect for
Brews + Breakfast offers a wide array of artisanal coffees, with beans ground right on the spot, per order. They also have quite a good menu with different sandwiches, pasta dishes and desserts. The decor is warm and cozy, and quite Instagramable. My favorite was the avocado and lime cheesecake, which was superb. I'm thankful that we went there during avocado season.

Shakeys has been my favourite place for vegetarian pizza, smoothies, mojos and vegetarian salad. Most importantly the staff is efficient and serve very well.

Waiters keen to help (and apologise for Chefâs lack of knowledge of Thai cuisine!) but how on earth can you have Massaman without potato? (Iâm a vegetarian so the Massaman I received was just a thick peanut sauce with carrots and broccoli - clearly absurd)Tasteless food but respectful and attentive waiters, esp. Dojie. Come here for the fast service but NOT if you are a fan of Thai cuisine. Or, even better suggestion, if you are offering international cuisine: do it properly.Hello there 947antony, Maupay nga adlaw!First and foremost, thank you for dining with us and for your honest review as this kind of feedback would really matters to us. In line with this, please accept our sincerest apology for what you have experienced. Please know that after reading your concern, I immediately called the attention of the Thai team and discussed this matter. As we really care about our guest's satisfaction, please be informed that we have revised our Massaman curry to which potatoes were already added on this particular dish. Assuring that we will be able to meet the standard of our Thai cuisine. I am also glad that you appreciated our service associates especially Dojie, I am certain he will be delighted. Indeed service is paramount for us to make every dining experience an exceptional one. With pleasure, please allow us to recover the service and hopefully to see you again in one of our dining tables!Hospitably yours,Jerick M.
