We very much enjoyed a business dinner here. The service was excellent, the food even better. Among other dishes, we tried the octopus appetizer, pan seared fish, paella, smoked caesar salad, and a pasta dish. Everything was not only delicious, the flavor combinations were creative. Very tempting menu. Delicious deserts, too--a peach and blueberry cobbler and strawberry shortcake with a twist of lime.So happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us! Love it when your actual experience matches previous reviews. I was in town for business. I had the taste for some fried fish. I search Trip Advisor and found Chuckey's. The owner and staff were friendly. I was greeted when I entered. I ordered the 2 Piece Whiting Platter with Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese. The fish was fresh and hot. The Collards and Mac & Cheese were homemade. As you can see in the photo, my meal was nicely prepared and packed for me in a to go box. If you're looking for some good fried fish this is your spot. Enjoy ! I'll be back

A group of about 40 pre-arranged and pre-ordered lunch here. They started cooking only after we arrived, and so the service was very, very slow. Food delivered in fits and starts, with some folks served an hour after the first group got their food. Most people enjoyed their food very much, especially those who ordered traditional fare. My garden salad was very fresh and delicious, though I wish I'd been asked about a choice of dressing. The side order of crab cakes were underwhelming, served lukewarm at best, not particularly flavorful and with no side sauce.

We had a great experience. Seated immediately, and served by Kristal S. Had perhaps the best calamari ever as an appetizer. Perfectly cooked and with an excellent sauce to enhance the flavor. Enjoyed their hard shelled pasta that was marina over fettuccine with clams, mussels shrimp, scallops and lobster . Mmm,what a dish! If we cannot find another restaurant that attracts us, we will definitely be back.

We were in the mood for hot steamed crabs, but did not want to drive a long distance on Memorial Day week end. We have been long-time customers of the B & B Seafood market so we ordered a dozen cold steamed crabs and a half pound of spiced shrimp. We had a âpicnic lunchâ at home and it was delightful. However, the crabs had been cooked and then frozen so several had freezer burns â the spiced shrimp (also cold) were the better of the two, but somewhat mealy. We will try some place else before we go back.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while visiting Richmond. Have not hit a Captain D's for several years and it is just like I remember it. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Definately worth the stop if you see one.

We enjoyed a delicious anniversary dinner at Bookbinder's. The dining room is lovely and comfortable. Our server was attentive, and shared his recommendations with us. The wine list was extensive, and we found a delicious wine to enjoy with dinner. Our food was excellent, and we recommend the shrimp bisque, pan seared scallops with fennel salad, herb grilled swordfish,red bliss mashed potatoes, cheesecake and mixed berry bread pudding. The restaurant's quiet, unhurried atmosphere, our server, and delicious wine and food made the evening special. It was nice to speak to other couples who were also celebrating anniversaries, and with the owner who came to our table to ask about our evening. I highly recommend Bookbinder's.

We visited here based on a desire for seafood and Trip Advisor posiitive reviews. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful table by the window overlooking the river and could enjoy the sunset. Our fish entrees were delicious and the service was attentive. We were even able to find a Malbec wine on the list that was from the area in Mendoza we had stayed at when visiting Argentina. Overall, it was a lovely relaxed evening that we thoroughly enjoyed.We're happy to satisfy your seafood craving! So glad that you enjoyed everything. It sounds like you came at the perfect time. Quickly seated on a Sunday at noon. Service was prompt professional and efficient. I had dragon fire shrimp and broccoli and wild rice and substituted wood grilled shrimp for the fried shrimp on the dish in the menu. My wife ordered crab cakes appetizer but was disappointed with the tiny size of the cakes which seemed no bigger than a silver dollar or fifty cent piece. The salads were floating in salad dressing with each having as much dressing as needed for 3-4 salads. Otherwise the food was good Hi, Jeff S.
