I hadn't been here in several years, but I always wondered how the place stayed in business with such a 1980s menu and decor. Came back here with my Dad because he likes to support places that support GMU. Assumed we would hit the lunch buffet, but it was not appetizing. Puny fried chicken parts and pasta swimming in sauces. Even the salad bar looked tired. Ordered a medium rare burger, which came out well done in about 7 minutes. I guess that confirmed my assumption that all the food must be pre-cooked and then reheated upon ordering. The burgers are also very small for $11. Battered fries were the best part.Maybe I'll try it again ... In another 5 years.

For over 21 years, The Blue Iguana has been a fixture here in Fairfax, Virginia. One of the first of the new school of Chef driven restaurants, The Blue Iguana was finally sold by it's first owners, whom have retired, to veteran Clifton & Nargiza Wilcox i
Blue Iguana has a lively, friendly feel with nightly specials, a lengthy happy hour and entertainment that ranges from DJ's to Poker to Trivia nights. Would be fine for families at lunch or brunch, but definitely best for adults in the evening. The menu offers a good variety of options, but limited for gluten free choices. That being said my salmon entree was tasty and husband's burger good. We were seated in the restaurant section where an enjoyable Trivia Contest was going on on a Thursday night.

My wife and I always eat at the bar and three to four times a year for the past 5 years have never been disappointed. Bartenders Gretchen and Hansel (no really) are just the best. The Smoked Makers Old Fashioned is a classic cocktail with a wonderful twist; a huge ice cube made of maple smoked water.Tonight I had the country fried steak made from a 12 hour braised short rib served over sweet collards and sausage gravy. But the star was the poached egg done to sublime perfection.Don't underestimate this hotel restaurant...great service, and better food

Caboose Commons is Caboose Brewing Companyâs second location near the Mosaic District. Coffee house, counter service food, brewery, & beer garden. We are a communal work space, kid and dog friendly (on our outdoor patio), and open at 6am every day!
This a great place for young people, young romantic couples and folks who just don't care what the place looks or smells like (nor what they look or smell like either or so it seems.) Loved the cider and the Kenya Coffee was super. Sort of a joint. Not much parking, but o.k. fine. I'll go anywhere for good coffee, cider and cookies.Thank you for your review, Marc! Hope you can come back and see us again soon.Best,Caboose management

Coyote Grille Fairfax VA A culinary adventure of southwest cuisine. Dishes prepared by Executive Chef Juan Carlos Balderrama
This unassuming exterior hides a charming cozy place inside. The bartender is friendly and actually brings your drink himself along with noting any request he couldnt fill for "next time" - amazing! The service is warm and prompt. And the food is excellent! The complimentary chips and salsa are not an overwhelmingly big basket but just enough till the entree shows up. The Sedona salad was fresh and piquant and the churros were warm little logs with the most amazing dipping sauces! Speaking of sauces, they make their own house made chipotle sauce which we ended up buying a bottle fo to take home - it was that good! The chipotle had heat but not the kind that takes the roof off your mouth. The entire experience was pleasant and warm, the service was just impeccable, with gentle suggestions and prompts. And the prices are so reasonable you feel like slapping your head and thinking why was I not here before? Loved it and will be back!

The Lost Dog Café has been serving up great pizza, hot sandwiches and beer from around the world in Arlington's Westover neighborhood since 1985. Well known as a place to get great food at a great price, the café also serves up a hefty slice of compassion
If your family or friends are dog lovers, bring them here. At the very least, they'll love the murals which feature all kind of dog characters as commuters, etc. narrating the local history of Dunn Loring/Vienna. The menu features lots of fresh vegetables and soups and sandwiches. Lots of light from large windows. T-shirts featuring dogs and the cafe are also on sale. This is a one of a kind place.

Returned to Dogfish for a midweek lunch after a year or so since our last visit. Staff was welcoming and friendly, and service was fast. Was looking forward to having the fish and chips based on last visit, but unfortunately found the fried fish overcooked and dry. The onion rings I subbed for the fries were excellent, as was the cole slaw. My wife had the Canary pizza, which was tasty, but unremarkable, although it did qualify for their happy hour discount, as did their always delicious 90 minute IPA. Will likely go back again, but only to enjoy their incomparable craft ales on draft (Worldwide Stout is out of this world!), not for a mouthwatering pub style meal that we used to find part and parcel of their offering.

The Auld Shebeen is Fairfax City's only authentic Irish Pub and Restaurant. In Ireland a Shebeen was an illicit drinking den, an after hours speakeasy where once inside people found good familiar conversation, drink, friends and great food! Fascinating hi
Went here to watch a footy match and have some food. Tim looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble for him. My friend and I enjoyed bottomless mimosas while we all had a brunch meal which everyone really enjoyed. Thanks for stopping by and great to hear Tim took good care of you and you enjoyed your brunch. I hope you got the result you wanted in the match! Hopefully we will see you again soon. - Mick
