To be fair we have had some of the best fajitas in Williamsburg at this restaurant....but we have become reluctant to visit more often. Reason....before you order, visit the restrooms. The mens room was disgusting. They say a restaurant can be evaluated by the cleanliness of its restrooms. While not having problems with the food per se, the condition of the restrooms makes us very reluctant to visit more often. South of The Border!....please do something about those nasty restrooms.

We planned to go to a nearby Italian restaurant but found it closed. La Tolteca was open and welcomed us with a smile, fresh, hot chips, and patience (shifting gears made us a bit indecisive). Everything was tasty and quick. The staff was attentive and gracious despite the relatively late hour.

Came here last week for lunch with a friend. I ordered the chili rellengo meal. These were very good. My friend ordered enchiladas with a side of guacamole and was very happy. We decided next time we will order the guacamole and margaritas and just do a happy hour. The chips were good but my preference is thin and crispy. These are rather thick but still fresh and warm when served.

First time visit, first time exposure to Latin American and Peruvian fare. Very exotic menu offerings. Staff very friendly and willing to spend time with you to help in making dining selections. Not at all fancy and connected to small market with equally exotic offerings. Great pisco sours that go down so easy. Food was well prepared and presented. Service efficient. Could easily make a very satisfying meal just from the appetizers. Portions are generous and easily shared. Pricing very favorable.

My wife and I ate here on recommendation from another couple we met in Williamsburg. They have great margaritas. My wife couldnât finish hers. I canât remember the meal had but it was a pork dish and it was awesome. My wife had a combo platter and it was delicious also. We would definitely eat here again.

Excellent choice for freshly-prepared Mexican food just far enough from the main drag of Richmond Road (just back in a shopping complex) to be a bit quieter. Attractive atmosphere and accommodating staff. Kids meal special excellent on Monday, Tuesday (just $1.99)...also great daily lunch specials for adults. Coupon in Go Williamsburg book (use if not using another special).

We had lunch today Sept 18th. We had seen a coupon for Fajitas for $6.99.We were apprehensive, but, liked the price. We had barely been seated when Marlon,our waiter appeared and brought chips and salsa. He also brought another whitesauce. We asked about the coupon and if it could be used. He showed us on the menunormal price $9.99. I inquired about guacamole and Marlon suggested we try a halforder of Mexican guacamole made at the table. It was the best guacamole. Felipe,was masterful in his guacamole. Neither my husband or I like cilantro. Felipe,added avocado, red onion and diced tomato, freshly squeezed lime and a littlevinegar. It was chunky and perfection. Marlon, mentioned that on Monday they have a special for $1.99 margarita. We willreturn for that. This was the most delicious meal and a true bargain. Marlon, was outstanding inhis suggestions and service. Kudos to Felipe again.I will suggest this place for clients visiting Williamsburg.Thank you again.
