Tried this with the family and enjoyed the experience. The place has sections for hot food (soups, seafood, noodle, tempura), desserts (ice cream, fruit, and cakes/pies), and cold food (sashimi, sushi, glass noodle, salads). There was quite a variety. We ended up deciding the hot food section was the best option. The desserts were nice, however the cold section fell short of expectations. We found the sushi just mediocre (good quality but meh) even though there was a huge variety.I think we will still visit but will find a smaller place to enjoy specialty sushi rolls. Price per person is $30 not including tip. The staff was great and checked on us frequently for refills and plate removal.

It's been a while since I've been here but the Japanese cuisine is still very, very good and extremely economical. My wife had the chicken teriyaki bento box (she loves it especially the wide variety of food featured. Me I had excellent shrimp and veggie tempura. All of the food, especially the tempura is made fresh for you. Still a great place where $30 will give two people a great lunch

I've been to Arigato Sushi numerous times and it's one of those places that one goes to when they're too lazy to think of a better place. It's not terrible, but it's nothing to write home about either. Located in the Walmart shopping center in Fairfax, Arigato offers ample seating. To begin with, they serve complimentary edamame and dangerously delicious cream cheese puffs. Just like any other place, they were attentive enough to top off our hot teas throughout our visit. We ordered a few sushi rolls, but none stood out enough for me to remember their names. They were alright, but I have had better. The service is meh. The waitresses are attentive enough, but I don't recall ever seeing a smile. Most likely I will be back for another lazy unpretentious evening, but that's about it.

Nothing fancy -- décor is basic strip mall eatery. Lots of suggested dishes. Read carefully and ask questions. I really like their stir-fry options, usually get a Szechuan featuring meat and vegetables, BUT ask for the special sauce to be omitted or provided on the side. Can use or not -- the dish really doesn't need it! Nice oriental soups. Favorite is the stir fried veggies.

Would I comeback again? Of course yes, I would, the restaurant is small but really nice family ambient, the waiters very friendly, but the most important thing "THE FOOD" sooo delicious and authentic they have the most traditional Japanese dishes like, Takoyaki (octopus balls) and also okonomiyaki (savoury pancake) just an advice if you want to try the okonomiyaki you must call to make a reservation and request this dish 1-2 day before you arrive because they need prepare all the ingredients.

We had a great meal here. The service was excellent - fast and pleasant - also very attentive. We had a fabulous array of sushi and sashimi on our platters - the small salad and miso soup were very good as well. One possible drawback is - there may have been added MSG in the food. I didn't think to ask as I don't have a problem back home eating Sushi out, but I noticed the next day I had the tell-tail headache I always get. If you are MSG sensitive - ask them!
