Join the local ghosts in a walk through the historic district of Fredericksburg, Virginia, a city that claims to be one of the most haunted locales in the United States. With a long history dating back to pre-Colonial times, and a legacy of slavery and war, it is no wonder that so many unhappy phantoms wander the streets. A small family owned business that serves traditional Bavarian and European cuisine. We have a nice Biergarten that is open for the summer and Fall
The food was served quickly, but was not hot. Goulash was not as good as other places. Red cabbage was in chunks, not shredded so it was harder to eat. Both it and the sauerkraut were cold by the time I ate the meat. I love hazelnut so ordered what was said to be hazelnut ice cream. It tasted more like walnut, but server tried to reassure me it was hazelnut. I have serious doubts about that.

I have been going regularly to La Petite for over 30 years! Their food has consistently been excellent and continues to get better with age! Wayne the bartender makes an awesome Espresso Martini! The wine selection is good and the food that changes with the seasons always delights the palette!

Historic Railroad Station -- The first Restaurnt "Bavarian Chef" is located in Madison, VA.
This is one of the best Restaurants in all of Virginia in my opinion. We have visited on many occasions and never tire of it. The experience across the board from Welcome greeting, though attentive friendly service of all staff. Excellent choice of foods, consistently cooked to a high standard. I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. TREAT YOURSELF TO A GREAT TREAT.
