Place looks closed at night from outside. Menu is run of the mill carryout. Ordered rose wine got red. Draft beer was very cold. Had fried ravioli as appetizer. They were very dry. Limited menu spaghetti pizza subs. Had cheese streak nothing to write home about but tasted good. Service was great by Jacki. Interior is old, run down and dated. Food is over priced and not a good value.

We recently stopped by for a quick take out dinner. Had a long wait for our food - supposedly because of the lasagna ordered by my friend. Portions were good, reasonably priced, but there was nothing standout about the food. My Italian sub was good, but my friend commented that his lasagna was a bit lackluster. Staff were friendly.

Stopped by mid afternoon on a Saturday while travelling from Asheville to home. Parked off the main street in a municipal lot at the farmers market pavilion. Enter through what turned out to be the back door and I think we surprised the owner. He was attentive and ensured we got a great seat by the window in the empty restaurant. We talked about the sandwiches and ordered from the menu. The tea was cool and sweet, very tasty and refreshing. Sandwiches were fresh and nicely presented.The highlight was the gelato. Creamy, cold, and so fruit tasting. I would return for that gelato alone. Not all flavors are available at all times, so make sure you pick at least two before you order. Whichever you get I think you will be happy with.The bill was a bit more than I normally spend for lunch, but oh that gelato is wonderful!I would go again if I am in South Boston.

We used to swing by here to grab a couple of quick sandwiches; sometimes to go and sometimes to dine in. After several visits we lost interest in returning. While we thought that nothing was wrong with the food, we just did not find much to motivate us to return. The sandwiches seemed uninspired and repetitive to us; few if any interesting flavors. The prices were definitely quite reasonable. Maybe this is an example of "you get what you pay for."

Came for a late lunch. Our waitress was a sweet young gal who gave some good advice for dishes. Lunch portions were huge. Can't imagine supper portions. Not the best Italian ever, but a good lunch. It's an older place with older decor and an open diner floor plan.
