Girls night out, we decided Mexican - La Fiesta. Upon arrival we were greeted and taken to our table. Service was very good, waiter attentive - I really like offering to have drinks refilled, without asking. We had a variety from the menu, food was hot, cooked well and tasty. Enjoyed the evening.

Been hearing that this restaurant has the recipes for queso, cheese enchiladas and some of the famous specialties from the Felix restaurant me and my family dined at for generations on Westheimer Rd in Montrose. In spite of my skepticism, the chile con queso on a tostada was spot on perfect with regard to my recollection, and my taste buds were happy. The cheese enchiladas with chili sauce were also spot on replicas of the original. The tamales were not at all what Felix used to serve, with too much masa and the meat not shredded or seasoned properly. The rice was so bland I didn't eat it, while the guacamole was perfection....not sure if it was what Felix served but was delicious nonetheless. The taco looked like what Felix served but didn't taste like it at all. Meat was not seasoned well, and was not good quality. The Felix taco was a little more moist and had better flavoring, as I recall. Still was great fun, and such a throwback experience with tons of happy memories, I highly recommend to any native Houstonian who had Felix as a part of their collective history.

My wife and I have been going to El Patio for many years BUT have moved over to another Mexican restaurant--The other restaurant was our go to place but ownership and management changed and we started going to El Patio--Recently we had a total failure of service and food ordered at El Patio--The owners were not there--When we left I let the "manager" who had waited on us many times know of our dissatisfaction. For the first time I did not leave a 20--25% tip. When we visited the other Mexican restaurant we were pleasantly surprised of the changes that had been made and have returned 3 times in the last 3 weeks--Sorry El Patio

This restaurant has fast service and the usual Taco Bell offerings. My son loves the Big Box meals. I like the regular tacos, but they are a little plain tasting without adding one of the sauces that are available. I personally like a lot of spice on my food. The quesadillas are very good on their own accord.
