We chose Masala on a friend's recommendation -- good call. We began with appetizers: Vegetable Momo (steamed dumpling containing vegetables, onion, garlic and spices) and Vegetable Samosa (patties stuffed with spicy potatoes and peas). The entrees included Lamb Korma (cooked in cardamom, with cashews in sauce), Bhindi Amchuri (okra sauté with onion, tomato and cilantro), Tandoori Shrimp (marinated in roasted garlic and chili paste), Hariyali Subzi (greens sauteed in garlic and tomato) and Peshawari naan (stuffed with dry cherry and coconut). As usual, we shared the various offerings. I preferred the Lamb Korma (in my case, served with brown rice) and the Tandoori Shrimp (served with an appealing sizzle). This place will satisfy Indian cravings.

7 Spice replaced another Indian restaurant that had been in the same location. 7 Spice is a great addition to McLean's restaurants. It has excellent food, including some dishes we had not seen at other Indian restaurants. The atmosphere is serene and the service excellent. We will be going back.

This place has some of the best Indian food in Northern Virginia. I'm a big fan of the lunch buffet--lots of choices and reasonably priced. At dinner I tend to order the tandoori chicken or the baingan bharta (roasted eggplant). And I always order the bhelpuri as a starter. You really can't go wrong here, everything is good.

We had a Valentine's day celebration at the Sapphire restaurant. You come here for the taste of an upscale place, not necessarily of food, in the heart of thriving office hub of Tysons where restaurant clienteles are affluent. The staff is amicable and dressed for the occasion, decor is suave and tasty, tablecloth is spotless, air is odorless, and food is served in stylish china. As regards to deliciousness, there is nothing to complain but nothing to rave about either. We ordered the mixed grill platter as suggested by the waitress. Upscale places come with upscale bills, but it was still reasonable given its location and setup.
