Just like any other asian grill place. Goid quality food. The same exact show by the cook. Good portions, expensive, loud and obnoxious. It is what it is. Good none the less.

Grandsons had craving for sushi so on Friday night we headed for nearby Hokkaido Japanese Steakhouse. Noticed how uncrowded it was, I think that was an omen. I will say the boys enjoyed the sushi, however it seemed to take forever between servings. Gramma had salmon and chicken teriyaki which she enjoyed. Not liking sushi, my option was for spicy noodles with shrimp. It was a pound of pasta (literally) with about 5 shrimp and a few sliced onions in a 'kind of' spicy sauce...not very good. The real reason for this review was the terrible service. The sushi as mentioned was extremely slow coming out, only matched by the teriyaki which took forever. Ten minutes after the teriyaki came my phantom spice noodles. Our dinner took close to 2 hours....did I mention the restaurant was not crowded, on a Friday night? The waitress was inattentive seen texting on phone and carrying on conversations with coworkers while sushi sat at sushi station. Gramma and I were to get soup with our meal which never came, so we asked to take it home. Oh, her grand finally was to knock over a full glass of water, showering all...accidents do happen, I know and visiting this restaurant was my accident..I learn from my mistakes. Never again.

We were looking for a restaurant serving an early dinner, something beyond the chain restaurants so readily available along the I-95 corridor, something really good, and something a little bit special. We found it at Narita. Located between I-95 and I-295 it is a family run restaurant; our waitress who is now in college said she "grew up" there. The food is fresh, service is good, and the staff is patient with folks like us asking questions. There were three adults and a 6-year old in our party. Our orders went in different directions -- sushi, soup, dumplings, and a "box dinner" filled with really good Japanese food. Beer and wine are available but we ordered a pot of green tea and never had a single regret about our dinner. It was good. Our son and granddaughter who live in the area had never before eaten there. They will return and so shall we.
