It is located northwest of Herndon, east of Ashburn, and west of Great Falls, and includes part of Washington Dulles International Airport and the former AOL corporate headquarters. Sterling is also home to the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office LWX (serving the Baltimore–Washington Metropolitan Area), as well as the Sterling Field Support Center, the National Weather Service test, research, and evaluation center for weather instruments.

My niece urged us to try this place for breakfast. We stopped there around 9 and it was still pretty full. Luckily we found a table and ordered. Everyone complemented how good everything tasted and how much we enjoyed everything. While we were eating the owner came by to see how we were doing, very friendly and talkative.We all had a positive experience and everyone agreed the next time were were in the area would would like to try their dinner menu.The restaurant is very small and plain, don't expect anything fancy, just good food at a reasonable price.

Use to be my go to place for a salad and muffin while traveling. What's up, the salad prices are up and the muffin has gone the way of the dodo bird. Friday night and half the tables were empty and not being waited on, no silver wear, had to ask for bread with the salad and also had to wait 15 minutes for a table when there were empty tables. This was my last stop at this Mimi's. I do not recommend!We're sorry to hear that you had a bad experience and want to ensure we can make it right. I was looking to get a sweet treat on my way home for work and found Sweet Signatures was right on my way. It is nestled in an industrial are right off RT 28 on Davis Drive. The shop is clean and orderly. They have three cases up front: one with chocolates, another with individual pastries (cakes, bars and quiche) and the last one with scones and muffins. I love white chocolate so I got the two items they had with it: a white chocolate pretzel and a white chocolate dipped Oreo. Both were very tasty. The chocolate was smooth and the pretzel and Oreo kept their shapes and consistency. I also got a piece of the blueberry crumb bar. It was not what I expected but much better than. It had a taste of lemon to it which helped it stay tart and not too sweet. The bar part was a nice blend of cake and shortbread (also not too sweet).
