Candela's Pizzeria & Ristorante Italiano provides Italian Food, New York Pizza, and Italian Restaurant to the Midlothian, VA area.
Met 7 friends for dinner last night. We were seated in the glassed in room at the front of the restaurant. Perfect for a group get together. We were expecting 9 but one did not show. They had set up for 6 but quickly added another table. There was no happy hour but wine was reasonably priced at $5. I had baked ziti which included salad bar and soup. The chicken noodle soup was delicious with large chunks of pulled chicken. The salad bar is small but adequate and very clean. The sneeze guard could use replacing as it is very old and has gotten cloudy making it impossible to see though it so you have to stoop to look under it. That defeats the purpose of a sneeze bar. The baked ziti was large with a creamy tomato sauce and lot of cheese. the weak point was the cold rolls. My dinner with wine was about $16. I would return. The calzone's were huge and looked amazing. Would try that next. T

I had lunch here today still looking for a good pizza locally. This isn't it. I was very disappointed when it came with canned and/or frozen mushrooms and green peppers on it. I keep running into this here in Virginia and I can't understand it No self respecting pizzeria where I'm from would use anything but fresh ingredients. Service was okay, prices were average, but I'll keep searching for a good pizza. One thing that struck me really funny was that almost everyone in there, both staff and customers, looked, and acted, like typical New Yorkers. Go figure.

We stopped in for a late lunch and ordered the Vinny's Club with french fries and the Italian hoagie with home made chips. Both were very good. Very friendly staff and excellent service. We'll definitely stop in again the next time we are in the area.

My best friend and I ate lunch there today. We both ordered Spaghetti. I had meat balls and she had meat sauce. Both of us enjoyed it very much. The hot bread was amazing !!!!!!!!! The sweet tea was good, but I'm not sure it was brewed, or at least not freshly brewed. May have been a mix, I couldn't tell. The cheesecake was scrumptious- I could really taste the cheese in it, not like store-bought where it is so very sweet. This was creamy & delicious. My friend had the berry tart, which she really liked ! Our waitress, Ashley, was new (it was her first day), and she was friendly & efficient, very responsive to our needs, and checked on us a couple of times. She also gave us time to chit chat & visit without interruption. Thank you sweet Ashley; good job on your first day !!!!! We will be back :)

We have been here a few times and we have always left full and satisfied. The flavor doesnât blow me away but it seems like a quality pizza that will fill you up. The atmosphere is colorful and different which makes it fun for kids. The wait staff are also very friendly and professional. I would recommend it for families. Thanks so much for your wonderful words about our restaurant and staff! We really appreciate it. We do pride ourselves on serving quality ingredients that are freshly prepared and use far less sodium than most other places. We like to leave room for our guests to add salt to their liking. Some people find that a little twist of the sea salt grinder brings out just the right amount of added flavor. For others, it may be two, or none at all. Thanks again for your lovely review and we hope to serve you and your family again soon!

Visited for a birthday celebration. Had an excellent meal service and atmosphere were very good, but not quite as great as the quality of the food. We need to return again.

I had the veal piccata and my husband had the baked spaghetti. Very tender veal and cooked to perfection. My niece had her 2 small children with her and the waitress was so wonderful with them! The rooms are decorated with Italian murals everywhere and maps of Italy. It is fresh pasta and homemade food! I recommend!

We liked sitting outside to eat our pizza. The area is screened to control insects. Reasonably priced.

Twelve people, age span of eight decades and an even greater span of meal preferences, ate most satisfactorily for lunch. Fresh, creative and generous would beat describe what Tazzo offers. The restaurant could have employed twice as many servers. The kitchen might have been backed up as well. But overall, a comfortable experience.
