Visited here with my wife on 10/7/19 for quick dinner. Well that didn't happen. Once seated waited for any waitress to show up on the patio. After a while got someone's attention and got a menu and drink order. I ordered the special Magic Mushroom Soup ($4.79) which was good, but more a stew than soup. My wife enjoyed the Ritz Burger ($9.99) and I opted for a Chicken Salad Sandwich ($8.49) which was good. We should have ordered the pizza since that was all the tables around us ordered.Too many other places to choose from next time.Thank you for your review. I am sorry that your Server did not great you in an appropriate amount of time, but I am happy you enjoyed the Magic Mushroom Soup, Ritz Burger, and Mellow Chicken Salad Sandwich. We hope to have the opportunity to Serve you again soon.

The region's premier source for excellent food & craft beer. 16 draft beers, over 100 bottles and a beer engine at the Pub with eight more taps and hundreds more bottles next door at Hair of the DoG Bottle Shop.
We enjoyed dinner at the DoG Street Pub while visiting Colonial Williamsburg nearby. The three beer flight for $6, the London Particular split pea soup, and the Scotch Eggs were highlights. We also enjoyed the opportunity to share the Eton Mess (meringue, strawberries and whipped cream) for dessert for the novelty of trying something one always hears about. It was a little too sweet for our tastes but worth trying.

A memorable farm-to-fork dining experience! In 1607, the Susan Constant, Discovery, and Godspeed reached the shores of Virginia. After exploring several sites along the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, the colonists, fearing pirates and Spanish competition, d
Thanks for a great visit Caroline. The food was good and the wine flights were fun, but honestly the staff - especially Caroline, were the true stars of the visit. They were very patient and accommodating to the large party with kiddos. Caroline went the extra mile making an apple juice flight for the kids and getting them some extra fruit from the bar to keep them happy.

Gather âround at Chowningâs Tavern for hearty, Colonial-inspired pub fare, all served up in an authentic alehouse atmosphere. Try favorites of our founding fathers, including savory Shepherdâs Pye and satisfying trenchers served in bread bowls. Make frien
Chownings has changed since my last visit to colonial Williamsburg. You can now visit for lunch or dinner and you donât have to reserve A table as you do at the other taverns. The buttered rum and fish bowl are wonderful. The sharing platter was great, as was the beef trencher. Good well cooked traditional food . The atmosphere is great. Some of the staff eat there too, while still in costume. The waiters are great. Loved having coffee served in tea/ coffee pots too. My favourite of the taverns

My wife and I ate here while on a three-day mini-vacation to Williamsburg. This was our first time patronizing this establishment, and we were VERY pleased. The food was very delicious and tender. Our server, Kevin, was extremely friendly and chatted with us giving us some pointers on what to eat as well as what to do while in the area. The portions were more than the average person could eat. We will DEFINITELY eat here again when we return in the future. Keep up the good work, Roccos!!

My wife and I ate here our first night in Williamsburg. Sat outside and enjoyed the night while we relaxed from a five-hour drive form NC. There is a great selection of craft beers and food (seafood, chicken, etc.). Our food came in a timely manner. It was very tasty. Our server even helped me decide on an alternative when the primary beverage I desired was out of stock. Would return again when visiting the local area.

The restaurant/distillery is wheelchair accessible including their restrooms. The restaurant has two areas with a ramp leading up to the distillery/bar area where the restrooms are located. Most of the tables in the bar area were the bar height style. The restaurant is accessible with movable tables and chairs but the aisles are narrow so you may have to ask people to move so you can pass especially if it is crowded. The two items we chose along with a four beer sampler were superb. For the appetizer, we enjoyed the biscuit tray that was accompanied by butter, two types of jam and honeycomb. Next, we shared the shrimp and oh so smooth grits. The service was great even with the number of people jammed into the place. There were a lot of hard surfaces in the restaurant so it was very loud inside.
