Local favorite that is great for visitors as well. Great breakfast right on the water at the Rudee Inlet. Was recommended to us by some locals and overheard at least 2 other people telling other visitors to go there during our 5 day stay. Great lunch and
Great local seafood joint on the water. The the best decor, but the food and service was excellent. It is in an old small building, so they use the space well (cram you in), but the food is worth it! We went for lunch and have a Tuna Sandwich and Calamari, and both were very well done.Prices were reasonable, and we will be back on our next visit! I think it will be a new favorite at VB.

For avid diners who are visiting Virginia Beach or live within 20 miles of the VB Oceanfront and are looking for the premier dining location, Catch 31 with unique oceanfront dining vignettes and located on the most recognized and valuable real estate in V
The food was well prepared (we share surf an d turf). The food was well prepared but the steak was skimpy. The lobster was ample. Sides were minimal, ample, but not much to choose from. I think this is a local price for reunions and and such. It was quiet but there were not many customers. Perhaps this restaurant is one's second choice? With so many restaurants nearby, Pier 31 needs to up their game. I did notice that in general, get ready to pay a lot for dinner regardless of restaurant - prices are going up.I enjoyed the dining experience but it was somewhat sad in a way. The company must make their money in Summer. No-one there in Fall. Still, i nearby, go for it!I am sorry to hear that your experience with us fell a little flat. I would love to hear more about the rest of your dining experience and get some feedback to share with our culinary team. Stopped here for a late lunch before going to play miniature golf around the corner. Make Your Own Old Fashioned and Manhattans! You choose everything! That was pretty cool except when you know next to nothing about whiskey, Old Fashioneds, or Manhattans! lol. I got the Californication burger and it was delicious. I don't usually get burgers or finish my whole meal but I did both here and do not regret it! Got the truffled fries as well. Yum! Hubs got the Pugilist burger with mac and cheese. Very good!! Small hole in the wall restaurant that must get hopping at night.

I ate an excellent crab cake sandwich at this restaurant. The server was not too friendly or attentive. She never refilled my water. However, the crab cake was wonderful.

Rye and bourban made on site. Some unique drinks. Food is well prepared and tasty - my wife especially liked the brussel sprouts and duck leg. I tried the lollipop chicken but thought it a bit tough. Service was friendly and efficient. And a true hunt theme with the antique shotguns and preserved animals. Thanks for visiting The Hunt Room and sharing your experience with us. We will pass along the feedback to our culinary team. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

My wife was on a work trip, so I tagged along. On our last night in the area we wanted good seafood and a walk on the beach. Based on reviews, I picked Hot Tuna to eat - and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by Savannah, who put us in her favorite table by one of the fire pits. It was perfect. Then it got better. We were waited on by Bri. She was fun, cheerful, attentive and made us laugh. The food was excellent. We first had Mahi Tacos & Shrimp for appetizers.. Then we ordered the main course...Now, myy wife is VERY picky when it comes to seafood. She ordered the scallops and they were cooked perfectly, she loved the mushroom risotto as well. I had the Ahi tuna - again..perfectly done and they gave me a lot of wasabi. While we were eating, the drinks during happy hour helped my wife enjoy the outside after a long day at work. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.Wow, thank you so much for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor. We will be sure to pass along your comments to Savanah. Thank you patronage and we look forward to serving you again soon.

We came to this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. The server was very pleasant. I liked the atmosphere. Canapes were great. We enjoyed the oysters, seafood platter, and brussel sprouts. It was very filling. The sweet potato biscuits and apricot butter were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The adult partook.
