Very confused with this restaurant - is it supposed to be more authentic or more Americanized? It was really both for us.We went for Mother's Day dinner, and it was possibly the worst Mother's Day meal we've ever had. Not only was the food extremely subpar, the service was ridiculous. Our server was quite kind, but every dish came out rushed and lukewarm. The puffed scallion pancakes came out soggy like it had been sitting there for hours, the hot sour soup came out half cold. We ordered several cold and hot apps as well as soup for the table. They literally rushed out everything all at once. You can't take your time eating Chinese food, once it's cold it's not good. So we had to rush through all of our food. On top of that, as servers came by with our food, they literally just slapped it down on our table, shoving our plates aside rather than carefully maneuvering the table to fit everything. Grandma's Noodles was probably the only thing good out of the apps - flavor was good, noodles cooked well. The jumbo soup dumplings are a cool concept, but the soup dumpling itself tastes like something out of a grocery store freezer. We also ordered 2 and one bun was already leaking soup - thanks for that. The main dishes were all covered in corn starch and like they rushed through cooking them. The seafood and crisps was so bad we had to send it back. It entirely lacked flavor and the seafood looked and tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for years. We didn't understand the rush in flipping the tables as quickly as possible, we left at 7:30 and many tables were empty - so why rush us? Overall, not a good experience, not worth the visit - go somewhere else. This is just another Chinese take out restaurant.

This review is for the one in Rockville. We came with a friend that was visiting overseas and were greatly surprised first at the nice atmosphere and chic ambience with cool decoration and second on the quality of the food as it was very innovative and different from traditional Thai. And everything was delicious and serve also very creatively, each order had their own type of bowl. Very cool place

We went here for Father's Day. It was busy! We started with vegetable pakore, chicken tandoori, shrimp biryani, and palak paneer off the buffet. Everything was tasty but the chicken was particularly moist and tender. We had mango lassi and water to drink. They also had the rice pudding which I always look forward to. Yes, we liked this place. Now if we can just find how to get here on the bus...

This is one of our favorites -- wonderful Thai cuisine, attentive and friendly staff, and pretty decor. Also, reasonably priced.

When I walked in I was surprised at how small this place was. Probably seats 30-35 people. Place was packed and they did a robust take out too. Very good, quick service. They have a bunch of lunch specials in the $10 range and I split a Larb Gai salad with my mom to start. Very small portion compared to other restaurants but still good. I had the cashew beef in a taro nest (pictured here) which was very good. I would definitely come back and try other dishes.Thank you. Weâre looking forward to to see you soon.

We've been coming here forever and it never disappoints. Service is fast and friendly, rarely have to wait even when super busy. Atmosphere is lovely inside and very pleasant in good weather to eat on the outside deck. Most of all the food is fresh and delicious. We've ordered many different dishes over the years and they've all been great. Our favorites are the Vegetable Curry, the Shrimp with Asparagus and the Drunken Noodles. Their fresh spring rolls are very delicious and I am a particular fan of their lovely house salad.Decent wine and beer list, nothing fancy, but more than adequate.Just a great and always reliable place.

Sushi Zen has long been my favorite to go to when I have a craving for Japanese food. I have already written reviews of it as an outstanding Japanese Restaurant in Arlington and so far that rating from me stands. However I was greatly surprised by my luncheon today. My son and I both ordered Bento Boxes. This time no salad was served. The miso soup that comes with the meal was good. When our Bento boxes arrived I found the smallest sushi I had ever seen here or in Japan. I was greatly disappointed. I usually order some sushi from the sushi menu to augment my bento box meal and to take home what I do not eat at the restaurant. This time I didn't.I will be going to another very highly rated Japanese restaurant in this area early next week and will be able to compare the sushi for quality and size. I am hoping that the sushi today is not a management decision to cut down, but a one time thing with the sushi chef making the sushi much too small today only. I will certainly go to Sushi Zen again and will find out.

This seafood restaurant is Asian inspired which provides a nice blend of flavor for the seafood. The atmosphere is comfortable and you should feel comfortable to enjoy a bottle of wine while enjoying a slower pace meal. Our waiter (Cole) seemed to know the menu and even though they were out of a few things, he was able to guide us to some enjoyable selections.

Before I went to Present I thought I didn't like Vietnamese food. I went with a group of women, and we shared several dishes. Surprise, surprise I liked everything! Even more impressive, we took my husband's cousin there and he use to travel to Vietnam all the time, and he loved it too! Not a bad dish here!
