You kind of know what you get when you visit Cracker Barrel. Hearth food and lots of it. I ordered grilled catfish and hashed browns. More fat/butter on the fish than I prefer but it was well seasoned and tasted ok. Cracker Barrel is very family friendly and also serves no alcohol. Be sure to use some time in the country store section. It has a nice selection of things and sweets.

Use to be my go to place for a salad and muffin while traveling. What's up, the salad prices are up and the muffin has gone the way of the dodo bird. Friday night and half the tables were empty and not being waited on, no silver wear, had to ask for bread with the salad and also had to wait 15 minutes for a table when there were empty tables. This was my last stop at this Mimi's. I do not recommend! We're sorry to hear that you had a bad experience and want to ensure we can make it right. As always, Cheesecake Factory is great. I finally decided to branch out and tried the Miso Salmon, it was very good! It has a strong flavor but the sauce was excellent and the presentation great as always. This location was not busy when we stopped in around 8pm on a Wednesday night. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.Thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed the food and service you received during this visit! We look forward to your next visit!

My niece urged us to try this place for breakfast. We stopped there around 9 and it was still pretty full. Luckily we found a table and ordered. Everyone complemented how good everything tasted and how much we enjoyed everything. While we were eating the owner came by to see how we were doing, very friendly and talkative. We all had a positive experience and everyone agreed the next time were were in the area would would like to try their dinner menu. The restaurant is very small and plain, don't expect anything fancy, just good food at a reasonable price.

Our menu naturally features many favorite traditional dishes but also reflects contemporary Ireland with its strong European culinary influences. However what the Irish value most in their hospitality is its friendliness.

You can sit outside on the patio when it's nice. It's somewhat shady, it has own bar outside.Try the Chicken tenders served on a Boxty (potato) Waffle, with scallions/leeks and a cream drizzle. Really excellent! I've never had that before.Ordered the Fish & Chips and we said that we were going to split it. They brought the order on 2 plates, each was plenty! So nice.SKIP the Strawberry Basil Sangria. We got a carafe for $25. It was just a carafe with a bunch of ice and white wine. No floating fruit! At the top, there were 3 slices of strawberry on the rim (see picture). That totals about half a strawberry for a carafe of sangria. That was ridiculous and expensive.Everything else was good!Cindy, thanks for your review and the feedback. Great to hear on the Chicken and Fish & Chips as well.We appreciate your review and wish you a wonderful summer.

Burtons Grill & Bar

Reviewed By FineTasteTravel

This was my fourth and last visit to Burton’s. My family of four and I found the food on this visit under-portioned compared to the past, cold, and from pre-bagged preparation instead of fresh. Worse yet was the exceptionally long wait to get our entrees, dessert, and check. But the final nail in the coffin for me was not getting what I ordered and being charged for it. My kids had the kids steak meal and the kids chicken meal. The steak was tiny, not the portions of the past (hint, go to Bungalow Lake House - more generous portion and free on Sat with paying adult!), and the chicken was dry and overcooked. My husband had the sad paleo bunless burger with what appeared to be a teaspoon of guacamole and three leaves of lettuce, as well as cold sweet potato hash browns that probably came from a bag. This was part of the paleo menu, from which I also ordered. Note: for boasting a paleo menu, Burton’s should list more than three items and offer to make other entrees paleo by swapping out the grain sides. So one of the other paleo options is salmon with romesco sauce, blistered tomatoes, and sautéed vegetables; there is an option to swap the salmon for shrimp (not extra, actually a lower charge). Not feeling like salmon, I asked for the shrimp. Our waitress asked what size portion - 6 or 9 oz. I asked how many shrimp came with it, she repeated the oz sizes. So I went with 6oz and was completely surprised that thirty minutes later I had a plate of salmon and shrimp. Ugh! How hard is it to substitute not add?!?! I told the good server immediately that’s not what I had ordered and she said she would have it fixed on the bill. I would have sent it back but I was tired of waiting, hungry, and trying to get my kids home at a decent time for bed. The salmon was nothing special, lacked enough romesco sauce, only had two blistered cherry tomatoes on top and was plates on a bed of broccoli and Brussels slaw that was definitely from a coke slaw bag mix and was definitely undercooked and cold. It was so disappointing, and to top it off (literally), the six shrimp were tough, way overcooked, and flavorless. My kids wanted to finish the meal with dessert, so we ordered the chocolate layer cake. It honestly took twenty minutes to get the cake which was clearly right out of the refrigerator based on its cold interior and warm patch of fudge sauce on top. It was not a $9 piece of cake, I should have gone to Abbot’s next door for frozen custard. Finally, we waited another 10-15 minutes to get our bill, our incorrect bill. The waitress had the audacity to keep the shrimp she added to the salmon on the bill at $8. Of course I reminded her I ordered only shrimp not shrimp and salmon. What does she do? She takes the $8 shrimp off the bill but still charges me for the salmon I never wanted. I was so sick of waiting that I paid for the $24 salmon though I should have only paid for $18 shrimp. I won’t be back for slow service, cold, pre-bagged food, and mediocre entrees I never wanted in the first place. In an area ripe with dining options, there is no need to come here.

This was our third visit to the Bungalow Lakehouse and our anniversary dinner. We ordered two splits of sparkling wine to start, and our server neglected to tell us they were out of the wine we ordered and just started pouring splits of Korbel. We did not accept this, and the wine was taken off our tab. We then ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir that was fine and crab poppers that were ok. My husband ordered a cup of lobster bisque and we both ordered side salads and prime rib entrees. The soup arrived first as expected, but our entrees and salads all came out at the same time. We spoke to the manager who gave us a gift card, but this was definitely not the anniversary dinner we were expecting.

Haven't eaten here for a while since moving out of the area, but we were very happy to return for lunch. The food is as good as we remember and the draft beers are always good. You can't go wrong with a Great American Pale Ale. The fish tacos were delicious and so was the chicken sandwich. We ate at the bar, since our time was limited, but our server Christina was friendly and efficient. Sure wish they would expand to the Richmond area!

First time dining at Kitbar and was quite pleased with the food and ambiance, the MEGA wrap around bar was very interesting, but my so called Chef/ server was pretty lame, really didn't have a good personality and would have been better off working at the Tire Center at Costco. The food was really good and I highly recommend their Cheesy Onion soup. Had the Fish Taco's for main dish and it was great
