Came across this little restaurant for lunch while checking out Winchester area. Butcher shop/reataurant makes it unique and delicious. The best steak salad I've ever had! Locally raised beef and produce; small, but diverse menu, craft beer, homemade bread, freshly made lemonade, homemade desserts-- what's not to love! Clean and cozy environment. Staff is friendly and they are happy doing what they do! Will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Region's 117 offers modern comfort food made fresh daily, that locals can enjoy for lunch or dinner. With regionally inspired house-crafted dishes, Region's 117's take on American comfort food is made fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced.
This place pretty much checks off all of the boxes for a great meal. The view is stunning if you get a window seat. The staff is helpful from start to finish. The food is excellent. Salads are huge, even the small ones and the filet is very flavorful. Crab dip is tasty and the french dip is prime rib at its best. Good beer on tap and pretty reasonable pricing. We'll definitely be back.
All of the staff I've encountered at this Subway have been very friendly. The food, minus one occasion when the meatballs were cold, is good. The restaurant is inside a gas station, so there's limited seating.

At the Alamo, you can order your food and drinks, including a wide assortment of beers, right from your seat. The food is okay, but the seats are prepurchased and selected and quite comfortable. The service is quick and not disruptive to your viewing experience. Highly recommended for your next movie!
We've been by this place many times and have never stopped. That won't happen again after stopping last night! We each had what we call a DQ Blizzard - I forget what they call theirs as every ice cream place calls theirs something different - maybe due to DQ's trademark? Anyway, this thing was huge! My always get the Oreo and most places just crumble it leaving large chunks of cookie. Here at New Town the oreos are ground much finer with only small size chunks of cookie - perfect! My wife said the butterfingers were done the same way. Next time I will try my other favorite - a strawberry sundae. I can't imagine why we never stopped before - not anymore!

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby so we could go to the Drive-in down the street. I saw some OK reviews for this place so we decided to check it out. The prices are good and I thought the food as well. My son had a hot dog and I had a Sloppy Joe, which was the special of the day. My wife and the fried oysters and my daughter the crab cakes, they were not all that impressed. So that is why I gave this place and average rating.

Good and Bad. Waffle Houses are standard fare. Nothing fancy so don't get too crazy in the expected results. Table, placemats/menus, salt/pepper, and condiments all needed a good wipe down. Sticky and greasy. Thankfully a lot of available napkins.First visit to this location so we needed to find out what to order for future visits. Fried eggs were good; scrambled were fried eggs chopped up with a spatula. Sausage was good; bacon was tough and hard to chew. Raisin toast was excellent; biscuit was rancid -- split and toasted on the grill. Either the biscuit or whatever was on the grill was rancid. Just bad. Grits were excellent; hash browns were just done and not brown. The added grilled onions were 10 little pieces of raw onion to the side of the hash browns. However to be fair, the guy next to me had a wonderful plate of crispy brown potatoes. Hit or miss? Waffles were thin but good.Waffle House is an icon -- go to enjoy the atmosphere, the friendly service, but just be selective in your ordering.

We had a delicious meal-everything made to order-and our server was very accommodating, allowing substitutions and splitting our check without asking. We had breakfast, omelet cooked nicely, bacon crisp, and pancakes fluffy. Weâll be back if we are ever driving through town!

What more do I need to say? Service was good, food was up a notch, maybe two, from good bar fare. Who gets excited about a caesar salad? I did; the dressing was the best I've ever had. Rich and light at the same time.
