Half Restaurant. Half Store. All Country
Stopped in here for dinner after late traveling, mostly because there wasn't much else open. This Cracker Barrel was like most other Cracker Barrels you go to. Waitress was pleasant and nice, but the food was just average as usual. Tried the trout dinner, and the trout was tasty but the side vegetables that I ordered had cooked so long they were just soft. Surprised the vegetables were able to maintain their shape when they were served. Up to you if you want to stop, just keep in mind it's a Cracker Barrel.

If you find yourself in Abingdon, be sure to visit this BBQ joint. The food was fabulous. We had a large party and were seated right away. The first thing you notice is the old school ambiance of the place. The service was great. The food was just delicious. Unfortunately they were out of grit cakes by the time we got there, but all the other sides were good. The baby bakers were loved nearly as much as the ribs and brisket. The sauce bar was plentiful, the meats were delicious. Its on our go to list when we come back to Abingdon. Highly recommend.

We decided to finally check out Luke's after driving past their best burger sign for months. We waited "patiently" about seven minutes to be seated during a time that there were only a few customers. Food was good and service met the minimum expectation. While we would return, it is not a "knock your socks off experience".

We loved The Peppermill! Our dinner started with the best French onion soup we have ever eaten. We had a very tasty ribeye. The vegetable du jour was green beans. They were yummy. Dakota was our server. He was very accommodating to our needs and we enjoyed talking to him. We donât make it to this part of Virginia often, but when we do we will eat at The Peppermill again.

This place is likeable on first impression. And JJs follows through. Parking was good. Greeting was quick. And I was asked about my seating preference; which was accommodated without hesitation at a high top table near the bar. I hoped that it would help me if my proximity to the vodka was good. It didn't help much. Our guy was pretty busy and I was thirsty.I found a good Southwest chicken salad on the menu. Chipotle ranch dressing was real good. Craft beer menu was just what you want and MUST be able to get in this part of the country. We got it, and this was excellent. My man got a Reuben sandwich that was apparently pretty good, cause he tore it up. I got a box for the southwest salad left overs.Long story short, go here if you get the chance. Nice south atlantic homegrown sports bar atmosphere.

I'm not one to jump an the band wagon and say something is great just because it is trendy. Went here because i wanted to help support one of my favorite wineries and a friend Adam Bolt who provides great entertainment and works at the winery. With that being said the following is only about the food and service. Farm to table, sounds good. What I had was served in an small iron skillet. So far so good . I'm not getting started on the service which needs training. My meal had onions ,one button mushroom cut in quarters ,four two inch pieces of fat back and maybe three oz of chicken. Taste I think they forgot to put that in. Price wise 15.00 for what I received I think was very pricey . Still looking for bread or a roll & butter but the water was in an old wine bottle. Trendy doesn't cut it , maybe they do better with their juice bar.Hi there,Thanks for your feedback and suggestions. We also encourage folks to let us know these critiques in person so we can adjust where we need to, instead of after the fact in a terrible review. We choose to use the highest quality ingredients possible, thus our pricing sometimes higher than similar ingredients. Thanks for helping us and other businesses grow in the future by giving feedback during & after service.

Beautiful building with outdoor patio, very unique art/decor with a beautiful open bar and lounge area.
Had a wonderful dinner with family. Sat on front deck, had our favorite canine with us. They were so dog friendly and brought him a bowl of water. several employees came by to say hello. But the food.....everything was delicious! Began with wedge salad and squash soup, perfection. Main courses were salmon with grilled pineapple and basmati rice and broccolini. A pasta dish with shrimp was plentiful and in a light sauce. Very very good. Also enjoyed some fried green tomatoes. After all of this there was no room for dessert. even though we were seated outside, our service was impeccable..drinks and water always replenished and quick not to mention very pleasant. Thank you! Will be returning!
