The Black Dog Bakery is on the Black Dog property with a few small store, lawn and picnic tables. It has the Tavern that overlooks the Black Dog marina. The bakery is a small coffee shop that has bagels, baked goods, muffins and croissants for sale. There is a small variety of merchandise for sale.

We chose the Art Cliff Diner because of the TA reviews and an article we read that this was Carly Simon's favorite place to have breakfast in Vineyard Haven. A small establishment with limited parking, but well worth the challenges. We were greeted nicely and seated promptly even though there were little or no tables free. The staff did a great job of turning the tables over and keeping up with demand. Our waitress was attentive, informative and cordial. I don't know why I noticed, but she made great eye contact. My wife enjoyed a three egg omelet with Chorizo, Avocado and Cheddar. You can choose your own three ingredients from their list in any three egg omelet. With the potatoes and toast it was too much for her to finish. Nice portions. I enjoyed the Irish Breakfast. I chose my eggs over easy with the potato pancakes and Irish Bacon. Nicely prepared and delivered. My only warning is because of the size of the restaurant if you are near the entrance (which opens and closes more than you would imagine) you will get a cold draft then it opens. On the particular day we visited the wind chill was in the single digits. Overall a great experience and we will definitely return when visiting MV.

For breakfast I had 2 "everything" bagels with cream cheese. They were very good as was the coffee. I noticed they had a variety of breakfast items including burritos but I didn't try these. Here you can enjoy music playing while you have breakfast. You have to wald down a few steps to get to the restaurant. A favorite of locals.

Both the front door of the Bakery and Back Door Donuts are closed for the season. We will re-open in mid-April 2018. Thank you for your patronage and the great reviews you leave for us and other customers. Wishing you happy holidays and a safe, healthy winter!<br>-- Jan & Rita
I heard the stories, how people line up at 9 o clock at night to eat these treats. I was in the neighborhood at about 3 pm and was surprised to find donuts on display. We bought 4 and went home. What I will say is, I hope these donuts were not from the night before. All were stale and all were thrown away. Do not buy except at night.

The 20byNine philosophy is centered on craftsmanship, quality, and community. CRAFTSMANSHIP: Craftsmanship means a departure from our rush to modernization, and a return to knowing more about the 'who, what, where' of our food and drink production. 20ByNine brings you American craft beer and whiskey paired with locally-sourced food whenever possible to encourage a mindful return to the craft of good food and good drink. QUALITY: From true craftsmanship, we expect high quality. 20ByNine prioritizes high quality, seasonal ingredients for our small-plates menu and partnership with like-minded breweries and producers to ensure we're putting out the best there is. COMMUNITY: We are committed forming lasting relationships with our craftsmen and women, our farmers, and our customers. 20ByNine is a gathering place where our customers will enjoy good food, good beer, and good company. This is the first location opened by the Celestial Restaurant Group, a Martha's Vineyard-centric group focused on providing high quality restaurant experiences. Before Celestial and 20byNine we have been in the restaurant business collectively for over 50 years, and hope to serve you well.
This was perfect for us, we arrived not overly hungry but wanted to eat something. Everything they serve is in small portions and can be shared. This place had the largest whiskey selection I've ever seen in the Northeast. I'm not a whiskey drinker at all, but our server (who was attentive and knowledgeable) recommended a drink where the whiskey was not overpowering - it was perfect (sorry don't recall the name of it). There is a "cool" vibe to this place, but it's very small and I'm not sure that more than 4 people can be accommodated - there were 4 of us and we fit into their booth.
We got a charcuterie board - which had all kinds of exotic fruits, cheeses, pastes, etc. and my favorite was the sausage/pretzel wrap.

Enjoyed eating our ice cream outside on the picnic table in beautiful Martha's Vineyard! Lots of places to sit and people watch. It is on a shop/restaurant filled block

After seeing the Gay ahead Lighthouse, we drove to Vineyard a Haven and stopped for lunch at a small place called The Net a Result. This is both a fish market and a take-out restaurant with tables just outside under some trees. I was attracted to this place due to the clever name and because there was a line to order food, always a good sign. We ordered shrimp rolls because we were disappointed with the lobster rolls we had elsewhere. In New England the typical place uses only claw meat and not tail meat. More about this later. Our shrimp rolls were filled with jumbo shrimp that had the great taste we are familiar with living in St Augustine, Florida. I strongly recommend The Net Result to all seafood-loving travelers on Martha's Vineyard.

I recently visited for an afternoon latte and was very disappointed. Upon walking in, we witnessed another customer bringing up his crepe because it had a hair in it. The waitress politely took it back and mockingly smirked about it as the customer turned his back. We also had an elderly couple in front of us who were taking a while to order. The girls behind the counter were not very helpful and were clearly impatient with them. When I questioned the girl taking my order about whether or not she could make a decaf chai latte, she was unsure and asked another who said it was possible. My husband and I placed our orders. Once the girl was going to make our lattes received the slip, she began complaining about making a decaf chai....this was the same girl who had originally said she could make it. We went back and forth for a bit about the order and I attempted to clarify but she was rude and unapologetic about the mistake. I politely explained that if she could not make a decaf chai latte then I would simply have a decaf latte. However, she continued to argue and asked me if I knew what chai was? I explained that I did and asked that she simply just make me an ice latte. The girls continued going on and one about it while we were still there. Service was terrible! Lattes were Ok but had grounds at the bottom of the cups. Will not return.

Open year round, Little House is a cozy Martha's Vineyard cafe and restaurant which uses local produce to create unique, exotic menu items. Healthy and gluten-free options abound with great salads and dinner entrees. Dine in or take out breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dinner reservations accepted for 6 or more.
My eggs weren't close to how I ordered them and we (not being residents) did not feel welcome. Not worth a visit. We are so sorry that you did not feel welcomed and taken care of while visiting our restaurant. Our customer's satisfaction is our top priority and we do our best to make things right when given the chance.

Our great experience started with trying to make a reservation. I called when they weren't open and didn't leave a message but 10 minutes later a delightful woman called me back saying she saw my missed call. The earliest table available was 9pm but she offered us 6pm at the bar, which we took. Turns out that the woman who called me was also the bartender. I've never seen a bartender work so fast and furious, while still being so patient and friendly. We both ordered the scallops which were the best scallops I've ever eaten!
