I went to Cat Ba Island for 4 days. I stayed at the Sea Pearl hotel for those days. I like Philipper bar and coffee. Because, it is located on the ground floor of the hotel. It is a good place to enjoy coffee and lunch. The staff is quite friendly.

We have been here 2 times, both times for diner! It was so delicious, the hot pot with see food was huge and the very kindly woman explained and demonstrated us how to peel the seafood. Everything was there! Tasty vegetables, yummy seafood and hmmm fruity smoothies! We had two wonderful evenings there with a lot of laughs. By the way, pho is also very good!! Very gently family here! Always so kind!

Just had dinner at Ganesh. One chicken vindaloo and veg Thali. Very fresh food and great tasting food. Options on spiciness and if you like it hot you must ask for spicy! Garlic naan is huge! Good location on sea front. Very pleasant staff running it.

My boyfriend and I were on an excursion which included an overnight stay on Cat Ba Island. With nothing to do for an afternoon, we wandered down the main street. The birdcages outside this cafe caught my eye - there must have been 30-40 birds in total. Needing a refreshing fruit juice, we took a seat.The owner, Hieu, smiled at us and took our order. It took a little while - I'm not sure but I think he may have gone to get some fresh ingredients from the market. Once they arrived, it was like heaven on earth. The fruit drinks are large, full of flavour, and obviously from the best fruit available. They are also very reasonably priced.The owner promptly provided us with the password for free wifi, and proceeded to sit down and whistle melodies to his birds. After chatting to him a little bit, we found out that he has a great love for birds native to Vietnam. We had to head back to the hotel, but after his reassurance that he'd be open tip 10 or 11pm, we promised to come back. So glad that we did.He wasn't there when we returned, and there was a little confusion with our drink orders. Not knowing what to do (the other staff didn't seem to speak English and we didn't want to cause any embarrassment), the lovely owner returned. We explained to him that our orders were mixed up, and almost wished we hadn't as he was so mortified. When he brought us the right drinks, we struck up conversation, which ended up lasting an hour or two. What a lovely guy! His wife runs a hair salon at the back of the ground floor of the bar, too - so guys can have a drink whilst their girlfriend get hair/nails done. Great idea!All in all, our visit(s) brought us great happiness, and we only wish we'd got Hieu's contact details!! Dear BellaThanks for your interesting assessment. This place is amazing. Just on the way when coming from the ferry. We ate grilled oysters and burger. They also make fresh local sea food, pizza and pasta. Very helpful and friendly owners who assist with tour booking and tourist activities. It's next to the street but decorated with a lot of plants and flowers. You can sit inside or outside and the WiFi works perfectly .Thanks very much. We are happy to make you satisfied

Travelling while being vegetarian could be completed, that makes you happy when finding pure veg restaurant.. this place is nice and have few good options. We had veggie burger, rice with vegetables, lassie and they were really goodThe pizza was less...Still it's nice place to go

5S - Cafe: located on the main road from the center of Cat Ba tourist to the tourist pier to Lan Ha and Ha Long bay. it is a very quiet place, and ideal to sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee or have a quick meal here.

This cafe has not only an astonishing view and a nice-cozy setting, it also has the tastiest mango-pineapple juice I've drunk in my life, the tastiest and cheapest vegetable phò of Vietnam (20k) and the best Vietnamese coffee.
