Reviews on Gastropub food in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Vietnam's bustling largest city sets the cultural and economic pace for the country. The former Saigon boasts charming French colonial architecture and wide boulevards, usually thronged and choked with traffic. Taxis are an option for seeing the sprawling city. The War Remnants Museum shows the Vietnam War through Vietnamese eyes. Don't miss the impressive Jade Emperor Pagoda. Go to the frenetic Ben Thanh Market for food, flowers or frogs. Tour through the Mekong Delta, past rice paddies and houseboats.

Urban Basement, an urban restaurant concept that presents an parallel experience of Craft Beers and kitchen in the heart of Saigon.
Hate to compare, but there is another brew pub down the block with a lot to offer. Anyway, Urban Basement is in the right part of town, beer was good and staff friendly. Offered me happy hour discount when I settled the bill which was unexpected pleasant surprise. But food menu was uninspired and the place was empty. Probably great on a busy Fri/Sat.Hi David, Thank you for your feedback and it is value to us. It is quite empty for the happy hour time. The place normally will get crowded after 8pm everyday and weekend. We hope you enjoy our happy hour and our beer collection will update every month. Looking forward to welcome you again in the future.

Non-smoking bar in downtown Saigon offering shuffleboard, darts, craft beers brewed in Vietnam (on tap), cocktails and delicious pub grubs and comfort International food.
The craft beer selection is outstanding. Iâd put both the selection and quality up against any craft beer establishment any place. The food was disappointing. Not only did they not have either of the two items on the menu I was going to order, but the third item I chose, which they actually could make, was average at best. The music they played was nice - modern hip-hop and pop. I enjoyed the time and itâs a great spot to hit on any given evening. Just manage expectationsThank you for the constructive review! Sorry two other dishes were sold out on your visit. May we know the name of the dish that did not meet your expectation? Thank you!

East West Brewing Co. was birthed from a dream to provide world-class craft beer to our Vietnamese community, while using inspiration from the East (Saigon, Vietnam) to the West (San Diego, California) in hopes of creating a unique experience for both loc
What an amazing place for a beer! Theyâre doing interesting things with beer and their staff - specifically Dean - is fantastic and so personable. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks for joining us the other night, Gourjess! We appreciate the kind words and are grateful for your continued support of local craft beer. Hope to see you in again soon for another round. Cheers!

We want to serve you a sandwich that you will remember. We use only the freshest ingredients available in Saigon and pride ourselves on making everything we can in house- from our sauces, to our desserts, to our seven types of bread.
After reading a bunch of reviews we decided to check it out. Some say the price is too high, but for the portion size, I have zero complaints. And the hype about the potato wedges is justified. Good god they were perfect. A little mixup with receiving the wrong sandwich (language barrier), but what would normally ruin my day turned out to be a pleasant surprise as the mistake sandwich was really good. Only problem is there are too many appealing options I want to try, so I'm going to be fat soon.

Restaurant was very responsive over FB messenger when I wanted to make a lunch reservation & due to our flight delay, they were very understanding that we turned up later than the reserved time.Staff were all so friendly that we felt so at home within mins of taking our seats. The ambience of the restaurant was really very great & so chill relax! We really loved how they decorated the place & made it a welcoming place to have a meal or a drink. If we were not rushing off, we would have spent an even longer time there We ordered so much that it was such a pity that we didn't have a bigger stomach to try more items that day.A wonderful pleasant surprise & sweet gesture from the restaurant - When they knew that we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday, they specially prepared 2 beautiful cocktail drinks for us to enjoy! Wow, this was totally unexpected! Thank you very much to the staff of Nam Vietnamese Kitchen for the wonderful meal & birthday surprise! We look forward to seeing you all again on our next visit to HCM
