La Verandah Restaurant is located inside the premises of Villa Nam Song Hotel in Vang Vieng. We served different varieties of dishes from Western, Lao, and Thai cuisines. We are located near the riverbanks of Nam Song just next to that long tail boat stat
We had lunch here. It's just north of the toll bridge or Riverside Boutique Hotel guests can enter through the hotel gardens (like we did on the way back as we didn't realize it was actually the Veranda next door). Super extensive menu, nice setting on river, very friendly and responsive staff. The kids had satay and sandwiches, I had salad and husband a fried rice (just simple lunch items), all were tasty. Nothing overly superb but just nice tasty food in a nice setting right on the river. Happy hours from 3 to 6 (second drink 50% off). Menu has western, Lao, other Asian (including lots of Japanese) dishes. Prices were fine. We spend US$30 for 5 including 5 soft drinks and a shared desserts. Would recommend as a good option! Better quality than in the city center I suppose, and nicer environment.
Newly established, family run restaurant in Vang Vieng close to the river and the heart of town. We serve fresh, homemade fresh pasta and Western food along with imported cheese, ham, cold beer, wine and more.
Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Hot coffee was served lukewarm, which seems to be a frequent occurrence in Laos. The duck salad did not have all the ingredients listed on the menu. I also had a pasta with marinara sauce, really small portion considering I ordered the large size.

Adjacent to the Main bridge across the Nam Song. The restaurant is part of our guesthouse set in a tranquil garden . All meals are cooked to order with the chefs speciality being Red, Green or Yellow curry. There is also an all day breakfast menu.
We stayed at the bungalows here and ate at the restaurant several times- mainly breakfast. Small and family run, food is cooked to order. Particularly enjoyed oatmeal porridge with banana, Lao coffee. Filled croissants for lunch and eggs and toast also done well. Situated over the toll bridge at the beginning of the loop road to blue lagoons.
