Rainbows are cool. But what trumps rainbows? Moonbows. If you visit Victoria Falls during a full moon, the light of the moon through the the waterfall spray produces a lunar rainbow, or moonbow. More of a daredevil? Then try what’s been called the world’s best white-water rafting.

The 31 Lokuthula Lodges offer exceptional value for money and are located in the grounds of the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate just 4km/2.5ml from the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The lodges are split-level in design and open fronted with drop down blinds affording magnificent views of unspoilt bushveld. A nearby waterhole attracts a wide variety of wildlife throughout the year including warthogs, bushbuck and many species of birdlife are often seen in the gardens surrounding the lodges. All lodges have air-conditioning in the downstairs bedrooms, ceiling fans in the lounge and loft and mosquito nets. Of the 31 lodges, 19 may be booked on a bed and breakfast basis through our Victoria Falls Safari Lodge reservations department like any of our other Victoria Falls properties. There is also an option for the lodges to be booked on a self-catering basis.
Booked through Air BnB and received an offer of a 3 bed lodge for 5 persons at an excellent price. Whilst at Lokuthula, we had full access to all of the facilities and services of the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge complex which Lokuthula is part of. All the service throughout the complex was very good and nothing was ever too much trouble. Free shuttle operates between hotel and Victoria Falls and the town on a regular daily basis. If a taxi was required, staff happy to organise . Only 10 dollars each way. A visit to The Three Monkey’s Restaurant is always a must and off course the Falls, if you don’t mind getting very wet. A helicopter trip over the Falls with Bonisair Helicopters is recommended if you want to view the Falls in all of its glory. They will even come and collect you from your hotel and drop you off again. Recommend a visit to the area and a stay at Lokuthula Lodges as part of a longer holiday. Zimbabwe is a great country for a planned visit and if you know where to look, you can get quite close to much of the wild life without feeling that you are a tourist.

Private and peaceful, a birdlover’s paradise bounded by wildlife, here you will find the best of Africa’s natural offerings from a seasonal beach and flooded marshes to lush wetlands and open grasslands. Breath-taking Chundu Island, accessible by boat, is only 21kms upstream from Zimbabwe’s legendary Victoria Falls. Eight spacious palm thatched rooms, each with their own private deck and perfect view of the Zambezi, are nestled beneath magnificent riverine trees. Chundu is perfectly positioned to provide guests with prime access to the Zambezi National Park, where 4×4 safaris soak up the sights and sounds of the African bush. Enjoy the wealth of the bush and Zambezi River with walking trails, river cruises and fishing. Chundu provides the perfect foil to the bustling town’s excitement. Maximize the flight to Victoria Falls and enjoy the peace and privacy of island living, canoeing and river cruises as well as game drives and bush walks.
The island and its accommodations were dream. We enjoyed every second – from peaceful mornings reading and watching the mighty Zambesi from our rooms to exciting adventures on various game drives, river cruises or the visit to Vic Falls. Dardley, Blessed, Godfree, Richard and the rest of the team were wonderful. Their excellent company and of course their dedication to customer satisfaction were certainly one of the reasons why Chundu was highlight of our trip. Thank you and all the best for the future! Hopefully, we’ll meet again.

Masuwe is back! After many years of being leased out to other safari operators, the original owners of Masuwe Lodge have returned and lovingly re-built and refurbished this beautiful boutique lodge. The re-opening took place on 01 May 2017 and as Masuwe is just 7 kms from Victoria Falls it offers fully inclusive experiences that combine all the activities of the Victoria Falls region with life on safari! You can expect welcoming hospitality with the freedom of exploring the local markets and access to all the adrenaline adventures offered in town including white-water rafting, Bungi jumping, the Gorge-swing or, a more relaxing sundowner sunset cruise. At the end of a full day of African adventure return to our peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the sounds, smells, tastes and natural flora and fauna that are ... life on safari!
After nigh on 24 hours of travelling door to door from UK we wanted somewhere peaceful and away from the constant helicopters to start our visit to Zimbabwe and Masuwe is certainly the place. Only 15 minutes drive from town but out in the bush with fantastic views across the trees looking down on the baboons and elephants and eye to eye with the weaver birds. The manager, Cassius Tembo, is a real gem. Our UK agent, Audley Travel, had arranged the trip and recommended Masuwe and they were right. We had a list of things to do and see in Victoria Falls but there were some details to be clarified with local arrangers and Cassius took this in hand and sorted the lot. Highly organised and knowing everyone he made the little worries we had just vanish. Then he drove us to the various places at the times arranged and made sure that we were looked after and was there to pick us up afterwards. Plus he made suggestions for improvements and that paid off as well. The tents were excellent and the bed very comfortable and much needed after the journey. The programme for the trip gave us two nights in Victoria Falls and having been rushed from one amazing sight to another I think we should have had three just to give a little more time to relax. The other benefit of Masuwe was the impressive chef, the best of the three camps we visited. My lady is vegetarian and he produced inventive and very well presented dishes for both of us. Visiting in late May the whole town was quiet but everyone we talked to said that bookings were looking good for the coming seasons. And many locals said ‘thank you for coming’. And, of course, the Falls were just tremendous.

Located in the lush suburb of Victoria Falls, the White House is a luxurious and exclusive lodge facing the Victoria Falls National Park.A five minute drive can take you to the Town Center, whilst an eight minute drive lands you right at the majestic Victoria Falls. We operate predominantly as a Bed and Breakfast lodge,Lunches and Dinners can however be provided on request.
I like the colour of light colour of the bed and the floor . Breakfast was very nice. Staff are very kind. The room we had had ants and spiders. Bed is comfortable. We didn’t have a shower head, so we had to use the bathtub. Cupboards look old. We don’t like the toilet and the bathtub is separated by a wall. They said they are in the middle of upgrading it.

this is really very good value . the manger Margaret is superb. the dummies at bayete wanted 200 usd a night for a room . this lodge is only 80 usd a room and breakfast is made by Margaret the home cooking expert. the rooms need new pillows and aircon but good vibe makes up for it .

The staff is willing to do more but they are not well trained and given responsibility. The lodge is managed over the phone. You might have to wait longer when you have a question or when you are making a payment. The exterior is undoubtedly beautiful. short interior walls upstairs make reasonable noise to be disturbing to other rooms. Also mosquitoes are hard to control using spray but there is a mosquito net which makes it better. The rooms are spacious. The lighting around the property is dim hence improving sleep quality. The surroundings are safe. but you might need a taxi or your own transport to reach the town centre just to ensure your safety at night. There is no tea station in the room and there is no bar fridge

We checked the place out on 10/03. We happened to take the back entrance. The place is a junkyard with car wrecks and other stuff. We saw several rooms and frankly you don't want to sleep there. If you have leaks you fix them and repaint your ceiling, That's the minimum you can expect. Run down, no love at all. It's a disgrace to one of the world's top touristic destinations. To be avoided at all cost.
