Drop in and visit us at Yabby Lake Vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula - your first stop off the freeway, just 50 minutes from Melbourne (and less than 15 minutes from Mornington and Mount Martha) . Check out the bright, welcoming space and Chef Simon We
An absolutely beautiful lunch. The 6 of us each ordered different main dishes and all of us commented on how delicious they were. Desserts were also delicious. The wood fire on a freezing Melbourne winter's day created a perfect heat. The staff were fabulous and very attentive. I would love to go back on a beautiful day an walk around the grounds. A definite go back to.

Had a Fathersâ Day lunch here today. Stunning setting. Beautiful food. There are 3 options for eating at Pt Leo : a casual space next to cellar tasting benches, then a more formal (but family) dining space and then a fine dining space in its own glasses off area (Laura - named after a sculpture in the sculpture park). As part of our lunch we had complementary wine tasting and entry to sculpture park (with a 12 month expiry). But the main event was lunch. Menu attached. It was creative, light, delightful. Almost all local produce. Table staff were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and attentive. Wine list (accessible on line) was also great. Just a lovely, lovely meal. Highly recommended. Hello there! Many thanks for your positive and considered review. It was our pleasure to look after you in Laura, and we're very glad you enjoyed the overall experience! We look forward to welcoming you back to the Estate in the future.
Nestled in the Boundary Rd Shopping precinct, 228 No Boundaries is all about delicious house made real food, ready to take away. From local produce, our gourmet pies and pastries are hand crafted on site, and paired with amazing locally roasted Shark Bay
This has only been open 4 months and early indications are it will do very well - you can order in advance and for weekend visitors to the peninsula this would work well. Shark bay coffee is served and so a lunch stop works well too . They bake everything on the premises and the Angus beef is slow cooked for 9 hours for their chunky beef pies- and the chicken and veggie options look good too. Mini quiches and wraps and sandwiches are also on offer- definitely worth a look!

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch for at Doot Doot Doot. Atmosphere was lush, spacious seating and nice ambience. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 course tasting menu. Added the oysters in for extra measure with the homemade Tabasco sauce - v-nice! We didnât have the paired wines, but had some well selected wines by the glass from the extensive wine list, which we really enjoyed. Lovely, inventive dishes, great flavours and textures and some tasty amuse bouches to top it off. In all - a lovely few hours of luxe dining - not cheap (around $440 for two - including shaved black truffle on our beef) but would definitely recommend if youâre looking for special occasion dining - or just great fare! Thanks to Rob and Jo as well for special attention.Dear Cath,Thank you so much for coming to dine with us and taking the time to write such a wonderful review. We are thrilled you enjoyed the whole experience at Doot Doot Doot and got to take advantage of the amazing truffle addition. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!Best Regards, Ollie Tucker, Food and Beverage DirectorJackalope Hotels

Monkey Business is a Modern Bistro in Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula. If you Hear, See & Speak Evil, there will always be a seat for you.
Several choices of something quite different for breakfast. We chose to share chili scrambled eggs with three cheeses and radish flakes, and their special for that day of mushrooms with Gorgonzola. Both were great. These are high class dishes each lovingly produced, so they might take a little longer than the more traditional fare.Prices are very reasonable, you could have the scrambled eggs described above and a cup of coffee for $20. Havenât tried lunch but can also say that the dinner menu is excellent, and for a special treat try the chefs degustation. Prices very reasonable for the quality.

Tucks is a playful wine experience unlike any other on the Mornington Peninsula. We've re-thunk the cellar door and introduced some quirky wine adventures. Test your taste buds with our blind wine tasting experience and see if you know your tempranillo fr
Itâs such a shame the experience we had considering itâs such a beautiful venue with so much potential. Our group arrived and the table we were given was not cleared from the previous people, which at first I wasnât fussed, itâs busy thatâs ok I get it. But you would think clearing the table would be done in the next 5 min of seating a new table. But instead after 15min we ended up having to stack and clear everything to one side of the table and thatâs were the previous peopleâs mess remained for the whole duration and when we left they STILL hadnt cleared it. It also took way too long for a server to come to our table. It took so long in fact we assumed it wasnât table service so we went up to order in which we were told, itâs table service.. finally someone came over took our order. Still at this point Iâm empathetic, Iâve worked in hospotatility before I understand how it can be when itâs busy but the turning point was the young lady that brought out our food. She flat out just didnât care, she bluntly stated the meal and before anyone could say, yes thatâs mine sheâd drop them down (quiet quick and rudely) in the middle of the table for us to then pass down to its owner. She did this with every meal. We tried every time to get a word in before she rudely dropped it in the middle of the table, I had even turned around after she dropped it and said that meal actually belongs to the person on the other end of the table thank you and she ignored me and kept walking... Wow. We were all astounded at the blatant rudeness and âdonât careâ attitude of this waitress. Itâs not hard to just be nice and if you canât be nice or even pretend to be, then maybe hospo isnât for you. In saying that we had some other servers come over that were beyond lovely and made up for their colleague. The food starting coming out before anyone had any drinks. In fact some had even finished eating before drinks had come out. Understandable if it were cocktails but we had only ordered some wines and coffees. I feel it would be unfair to say the service was bad purely because of this one waitress because of the other fantastic ones but when we all left the only thing we spoke about and have spoken about was the rudeness. It really does leave a (negative) lasting impact. The food was lovely but it honestly was all over the place. Maybe with some more staff training and a structured order of service to follow it would fulfill expectations.

Our wines are handmade and crafted in Terracotta Amphora. Our food is garden grown and sustainably sourced, providing seasonal and regional local flavours. As you arrive at Trofeo Estate, youâll feel youâve discovered something special; one of the Morning
Our visit to Trofeo for lunch was fantastic. We had a bit of wine tasting first to enable us to select a wine to have with our lunch. The terracotta fermented Chardonnay was so good. I usually drink SavBlanc so this was a surprise for me. There were 4 of us and we had a lovely round table with really comfy chairs. The food was delicious and not too expensive. The only downside was the lack of service once we had finished our main course. We eventually decided to sit outside and have coffee. However we had to chase a waiter for us to order the coffee. The service for our food delivery once ordered, was prompt and professional. The grounds are peaceful and scenic with a tree that children were able to climb plus a dam with ducks and sheep. We look forward to a return visit.

James Halliday's Winery of the Year 2012 and one of the most exciting wine destinations in Australia. This award wining contemporary architectural landmark with monumental limestone rammed earth wall, soaring timber ceilings and panoramic views over undul
The two of us had lunch at this restaurant. Perfect location with beautiful views and great interior design, this place look promising. The service was quick and we had the perfect setting for a great lunch but unfortunately that wasnât the case. We had 2 bite size dishes that are literally one bite, in our case crocket and polenta chips. They were ok. Then we had the calamari bigger size but still small. That dish was average. For main we had the steak and crab linguini. Both typical starter size and not great. The linguini was oily and the steak well over cooked. For desert we had the brownie that we had to cancel 15 min after we finished the coffee. All in all it felt like a disappointing miss.

My husband took me to Polperro Restaurant for lunch on my birthday... we were overwhelmed by the winery grounds, loved seeing the veggie garden at the front of the Restaurant building, brilliant idea of using local produce, canât be as fresh as picking produce from the winery veggie garden. We decided on the tour menu, small selection of dishes. $90 per person food only and with matching wines, $150 per person. We thoroughly enjoyed the food there. The outlook from the restaurant wasnât bad either. I believe that if you book prior to 12:30pm seating, you have a 2 hour seating. After that, you can stay longer than 2 hours. If you eat outside (unless it is over the busy summer period), you have a smaller menu to choose from. Staff were friendly. We did find the restaurant got a bit noisy when it was nearly full. Apart from that, we enjoyed the food and wine at Polperro Restaurant.
