We were visiting Phillip Island and decided to take away from this restaurant. Really should have read reviews and kept away. Food was so bland and horrible. Overcooked vegetables with absolutly no taste in any of their dishes. Save yourself the dissapointment and go somewhere else

Walked in, with the thought of only to fill the stomach. But was pleasantly surprised by the huge serving and definitely, more authentic Chinese/ Hong Kong taste. Regardless whether it was the rice or noodle dishes, it was good. The other positive note was their late closing time. for those staying at or near Cowes, and especially after te Penguin Parade, this is a good place to stopover to wind the day dwn with Asian food

Visited Saigon Maggie due to good reviews. The food was nice, a good alternate option to whatâs in town but I wouldnât rush back. Flavours werenât as deep as others had listed, but did taste very fresh The service was clunky. It appeared a new girl was on wait duty who had little experience. We were served our meals without cutlery or napkins and watched as she struggled to manage 5 tables. The owners should invest time in training. Despite this she was very pleasant. Hi MASK_3551, thank you for stopping by our restaurant and for providing feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your meal, sorry that the flavours werenât as you expected. We try to be consistent with all of our dishes, unfortunately, as they are made to order from fresh ingredients, the flavours can vary from day to day. We apologise that the service you received during your visit, wasnât to your expectation and we are investing more time in staff training. We hope to see you again in the future.

Down at Cowes for the weekend and we popped into this little restaurant for some takeaway lunch. We love our sushi and the rolls here were fresh and delicious. We tried the california salmon, tuna and chicken schnitzel hand rolls and all were delicious. We also had the chicken rice paper rolls with sesame sauce....fantastic- so fresh and the sauce was yum! They also have a nice selection of gyoza, dim sims and hot dishes which i'd try. All food reasonably priced and friendly service. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back during our next visit to Cowes.

Authentic Japanese food with friendly service! Open 7 days (except Christmas Day) from 10am til 7.30pm. Fresh Sushi, Rice Paper Rolls and wide range of Hot Food. Takeaway or Dining in.
Most of the food items were gone by the time we got there, besides that the waitress wasnât familiar with the menu. After trying to order 4 items and being told âall goneâ, we were âall goneâ out of there.

We go to Kim's Bakehouse a lot, mostly for lunch. The Vietnamese pork rolls (~$10) are scrumptious (yet to try chicken, can't get past the pork) and we inevitably share one, then chow down on a couple of spring rolls for good measure. An excellent lunch treat which we always enjoy. The poke bowls are great too (although can't get the man to share one of those unfortunately) ...in fact, all their food is delicious. Occasionally we share a french vanilla slice, although I prefer the lemon tarts because that's my thing. I've also been known to kill for a chocolate eclair. There's also pies and sausages rolls, so food appeals to a wide range of tastes.Give it a try, highly recommend for a reasonably priced lunch or snack. Eating area fairly impersonal but you can always walk a few mins with your edible spoils down to the beach and enjoy it there.

It was our lunch stop after the Koala Conservation Centre. Rice was our main objective and when we finally got it, it was delicious. Seems like rice never tasted so good, after a long absence. The other dishes were good too.

Had some takeaway Thai tonight and it was pretty good. Not expensive at all and the food was pretty tasty. The spicy chicken is spicy but not too over the top. Prices are reasonable. Portion sizes good. Staff were great and very helpful even though they were busy. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/Stroller accessible. Good parking but do watch the time limits as the parking inspectors are vigilant. Lots of other places to eat nearby but worth trying this one.

My friend and I called in to this restaurant without booking. The 2 staff we met were very friendly and knowledgeable about the meals. We ordered nos 5 and 6 on the menu - seafood pancake and a delicious ham meal (cannot remember the name, item 6). The meal was promptly provided, and delicious. The glass of house red and white very enjoyable. The restaurant was well furnished, very clean with plenty of room between tables etc. You have the choice of eating inside, out on the veranda or outside.
