Food was well presented and was very tasty. Pate plate for entree which was quite a large serving and cheese/ham/asparagus crepes for main course. The French pastries looked delicious so we bought some to take home for later. They were as delicious as they looked. On arrival we were advised there was a party group being catered for and that there may be a delay of up to 39 minutes for us. This delay did not concern us but we were pleased when our orders were taken within 5 minutes and served about 10 minutes later. The waiter was very helpful and efficient. Overall, a good experience and highly recommended.

THE CUCKOO RESTAURANT Wunderbar! Situated in the stunning Dandenong Ranges, just 50 minutes from Melbourne, the Cuckoo is in top ten popular tourist destinations in Victoria. A 400 seat smorgasbord restaurant in a warm and welcoming family atmosphere. Dec
We had my birthday celebration at âCuckoo â restaurant named on cuckoo clock, which great collection they have. This is a buffet restaurant with Bavarian German entertainment. Staff is friendly, food is standard for buffet, however my wife was disappointed that kneidlach wasnât in menu today. Entertainment is very nice so the atmosphere in this almost 60 years old restaurant.

A warm and comfortable cafe/restaurant. With an open fireplace and candlelit tables plus a lovely sunny courtyard for the warmer months. Dudley's serves a delicious breakfast selection 7 days a week, and is also open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Gl
As Iâm reading through some reviews Iâm absolutely shocked to see that anyone in there right mind would rate this place anything more then one star. We ordered two separate dishes and both where below standard. In fact Zero standard. Pizza $25 for a tissue like base which was burned underneath dry topping and just should not be advertised as a pizza. As there was only us who ordered the pizza you would think the guy would keep his eye out so it doesnât burn. Next came lasagna ones again $25 dollars for a peace the size of a childâs palm. They gave me a corner which was super hot on top not much meat and so dry and not fresh that we had to leave the restaurant and not eat. The service is friendly but the food was absolutely disgusting.

Located in the majestic Dandenong ranges, we offer top notch coffee, scrumptious brunches all day and a proper english afternoon tea, enjoyed with a glass of bubbles in our fabulous gardens. Our innovative Winter menu includes grilled mushrooms & stilton,
After reading the most recent positive reviews we came here for lunch ... I wished we hadnât. The service was friendly but thatâs where the positive feedback ends. We had pumpkin soup which was too watery, chicken baguette with avocado smash but the baguette was rock hard and dry, a salad with cranberries and beetroot ... my wife found ONE cranberry and ONE tiny piece of beetroot in her salad :)To top it off my daughter had to sent her chai latte back twice... first time it was too weak, second time she got only hot milk because they forgot to put the tea leaves in the pot and the third time she got served soy chai latte instead of normal chai latte. However, to be fair we did not have to pay for the three lattes.Anyway, as locals we are disappointed that our first time visit to Brunch will also be our last. :(

Very disappointing and expensive meal. Tasteless kingfish to begin. $16.50 for a plate of salty shoe string fries. Slider was ok. Lamb shanks were very bland. Garden salad was also salty. Once main plates were cleared I had to ask a waiter to clean the table of salad overspill. Poor value for $180/ couple

We had the pleasure of enjoying the Tokar Estate fine dining experience. A table of six indulged in the new Winter menu. All dishes served, the flavours were sublime and artfully presented. The meals were matched with superb wines particularly the Pinot Noir and the award winning 2016 Shiraz, Many bottles of which were taken away with us to enjoy at a later date. Excellent friendly service from all staff. Would definitely recommended Tokar Estate.Hi 376vickif,Thank you so much for taking the time to review our restaurant. Coonara Springs is an iconic hills restaurant with a rich heritage and a modern approach. Our seasonally inspired menu is influenced by our own vegetable plots and our contemporary cuisine is created around respect for locally grown and sourced ingredient
We lunched there today - the first day of a new autumn/ winter menu. A great choice of dishes - presented particularly well for sharing - all excellently prepared and presented. The service was equal to anything weâd expect from a top restaurant. A good choice of wines.Outstanding views over the gardens and the Dandenongs from the dining room. This place combines a taste of the Dandenongs of old with excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.

Itâs always special to be welcomed at a small boutique cellar door by the owner who has intimate knowledge of the whole wine making journey from soil and microclimate influences, grape variety, picking and bottling to appreciating the finished product. We sampled the whole range and went away happy with some favourite purchases. We will be heading back maybe midweek for those great wine conversations or perhaps at the weekend to try their pizzas. Whispering Hills wine is individual and substantial. You are bound to discover something to your liking. The cellar door vibe is authentically rustic and welcoming and a great place to unwind.
