Things to do in Lakes Entrance
This restaurant is located within the grounds of the Best Western Hotel at the southern end of the main strip Lakes Entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, great service and Australian outback décor, not overdone and tasteful. A smallish and intimate restaurant, a diverse but not overly large or complex menu and includes some seafood. All meals were very well prepared and service was excellent so I would highly recommend this place for locals and visitors alike. Prices were reasonable and affordable and the staff very courteous and friendly.

We had a lovely Chinese meal here that night.A BIG thank you to the marvellous lady (staff) who helped us choose our dishes as I am highly allergic to MSG and she took the time to tell my partner what dishes were suitable for me to eat. What a relief to be able to eat 2 courses with no adverse effects. THANK YOU and to the kitchen as well. She even noticed my partner going up tp place the order and joined him to make sure that the kitchen was aware. Our two dishes were perfectly prepared and greatly enjoyed.

We stayed in a self-catering cabin at Lakes Entrance so one day we decided to buy some fresh seafood at Off the Wharf fish shop and cook it ourselves. This shop is actually the outlet of the local fisherman's cooperative and their seafood was fantastic. Their Pacific oysters were fesh shucked and delicious. Our server recommended the catch of the day which didn't disappoint. Wonderful fish indeed.

Never been happy with the Fish and Chips here but the Hamburgers are tasty and good value. All my kids love them as well. 4 burgers x $7 and $5 worth of chips = happy family.

We had high hopes for pizza from here, sadly it was very lacking. The base tasted like a pre-bought one and was too thick and the pizza was so greasy you could see it running off the pizza. The only saving grace was that we also got the Mexican wedges which were lovely.Didnât bother to go back after this to try other menu items Hi, We are just curious as to what type of pizza you ordered, as we donât usually have any issues. Weâd like to know if there is something weâve overlooked, in training our oven staff. I can assure you our pastry is made fresh each and every day. We have a traditional base, that has thicker edges and thinner through the centre. We donât have the usual thick deep pan pizzas, however we can always make our pizzas thinner. Thank you

On a cold and windy night in Lakes Entrance, this provided perfect shelter from the storm on AFL Grand Final Eve.Interesting beers on tap, led into a yummy Bistro meal for all the family.Very busy night, but we got our order in early so the kids meals came out quickly, and ours came not long after. The Parpadelle and beef ribs were both very tasty, and the kids were satisfied also.Wine list prices were very reasonable, and not too much more than retail prices. All staff were very helpful in particular the Bistro Manager (or supervisor) who made sure we got a table even after we made our booking late.Sorry I didnât catch your name.

Visited this evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The servings were large and the meals presented beautifully. It was wonderful that the salad on the plate was not an afterthought or decoration but was thoughtfully presented and very tasty. The fish was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed all aspects of our meal. Staff were attentive and friendly. Special mention to Leonie who handled a particularly difficult customer with courtesy and diffused the situation. She was explicit with the customer about what was going to be served so there could be no further misunderstandings. Extremely professional and an asset to the business.

Beautiful location with a laidback vibe, the Waterwheel is one of our faves. We had a great meal - highly recommend the Vegetarian Green Curry, delicious, and the service was fantastic. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and accommodating, especially when one of our children fell over outside. The renovations have opened up the space and it looks great. A special thanks to the lovely staff that picked us up and dropped us off in the pub bus to our accommodation in Lakes.

We decided to revisit after 8 years as we still remember the sensational crispy pork belly. What a mistake it no longer exists. We went with another couple who live locally and also had memories of a beef dish, also disappointing.Open nightly only 6 to 9.30 pm.Yes the food is nice but nothing special. We shared to entrees. 4 mains, small steamed & fried rice 2 bottles wine $278. Yes they are so overpriced, we will not be back.Eg crispy pork $36basic beef dish $39 3 small duck spring rolls over $20overpriced wine. They even had to ask us what meals were still outstanding.
