A bright, breezy, and just a little cheeky, eatery and bar for locals, weekenders and holiday makers alike to enjoy! Why Mr Morce ? Staying with the local heritage and the fact that we are locals, we wanted to embrace a theme around part of our historic b
Our expectations were maybe set a bit too high as we had heard many glowing reports about this restaurant. It was recently taken over by a well known Sorrento local person. The food is quite good but not outstanding. At least the prices are not outlandish. The service was very good, efficient and knowledgeable. A comprehensive and not too large wine list at reasonable prices. There are many places to dine out in this part of Mornington Peninsula - maybe Mr Morce just needs to find a clearer point of difference to the rest. We will, at some stage, give it another try. Thanks for your review. Thanks for pointing out some of our points of difference. Being service and pricing. We will continue to strive to improve and hope that on your next return you enjoy our new spring menu with our popular daily specials.Regards, Troy

Clear dining room with an eclectic collection of frames and various objects, this place has got a special ambiance.Nice welcome and a general good service although it was a bit slow. But it is also a good sign as everything was made on order, so we enjoyed our poke and our scrambled eggs !Reasonable pricing for a lunch at less than $25 pp, with a drink.Interesting place.

We selected this restaurant based on a review we had read about the chef, who had achieved a significant number of chef hats on his culinary journey. the menu only had a handful of items on it and we tossed and turned about eating there. The decision was made for us due to the inclement weather and decided to walk downstairs from or room into the restaurant, rather than hop in a car and brave the elements. We both had the chicken with sweet potato mash and broccoli and carrot. We also ordered sides of potatoes and a green salad which were very favoursome. Deserts saw us trying two dishes - one a lemon tart and the other an old favourite of mine, a sticky date pudding, both of which were delicious. We decided to take dessert by the roaring gas log fire in a separate lounge area, which made a pleasant change from the dining table. All in all we couldn't fault the meal - it was well proportioned and within budget.
Fine Mediterranean style deli foods, served in a tapas format with free flowing fresh bread. Wines sources exclusively from the Mornington Peninsula region make this the premier destination to sample the widest range of local wines. The perfect place to m
Small family run business, the food was good there could be more options on the menu, but overall they were very welcoming and very hospitable had the fire place going for us.

What happened to service, restaurant staff at hotel Sorrento are so busy talking amongst themselves they forget about their customers. Really poor food at breakfast, no tea bags and staff that donât know the meaning of service. What are they there for ????? Wonât dine there again.Hello MichelleThank you for your detailed feedback. I booked for dinner (2 adults and one child) on 14th February (Valentine's day).Having read the menu on their website, I was hoping to try oysters, scallops and pork belly. To our surprise, the "special" Valentine dinner did not have any of these, but still costed 75$ for 3 course menu. Somebody from the management must explain how you can offer a "special" dinner that has less choice for the same price? Drink: We started with a martini gyn - undrinkable. Too strong and no flavour of martini at all. Entree: fish terrine - tasteless.Main: Spaghetti Prawns. No salt. Loquat chef should follow Italian award winning chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo's advice to abound with salt and olive oil if you want to give taste to your dish.Dessert: Pavlova - excessively sweet. I do understand that a dessert must be sweet, but there is a spectrum! This must be a flaw of Australian chefs given that I had the same experience at Peter Gilmore's Bennelong.Other notes: very limited parking and waiters dressed quite randomly. In summary: dishes well presented but not pleasant. Not recommended.
