Although there was a mix-up with our booking, we booked for ten people but only table for eight available, staff did their best & we had a wonderful evening. Food was very tasty, perhaps not large serves, but everything was eaten with gusto & nothing sent back, only empty plates.

The Publican offers the very best in cocktails, spirits and craft beers. Upstairs has been transformed to ensure an experience that needs to be seen to be believed... Our beautiful function space can be booked to enjoy any private event, from cooperate me
Poor on many levels..Hugely over priced drinks..Cider $12 Pints $13.... What's worse is the "Supposed Live Entertainment. Advertised to go on at 4.00pm.. warm up finished and ready @ 3.45 - Now 4.45 and still not on stage... Bad form for all the paying patrons... what..they need to sell more overpriced drinks?? Place packed.. and just recorded music from various artists playing... Don't advertise 4.00 till 7.00 if the Band aren't going to be on stage till 5.10pm... the only saving grace is the lovely Irish lashes working the Bar.. cheerful...

We used to go to Uthong Thai a few years ago. We felt like some Thai food hence we went there last night. I rang them and was quite surprised I could get a table last minute on a Saturday night. Not too many diners when we got there. The restaurant used to be full, buzzing with the noise of people enjoying themselves, waitress running around trying to keep up with the orders. Last night, the place was very quiet... we thought perhaps we were early, we left at 7:30pm on a Sat and there were only another occupied table, though three other tables were vacated earlier. The food was average. The Pad Thai wasnât very spicy. We asked about the red Duck and were told it came on a sizzling plate, well it did come in a sizzling plate without any sizzling noise when the dish was brought to the table... why? I have never seen steamed vegetables served with a few pieces of duck on top, and the sauce was watery. We didnât think much of that dish $27.99. We also ordered green curry chicken.... now if you canât get green curry chicken right, there must be something wrong.... it wasnât a thick curry consistency and tasted quite sweet ie too much sugar, also didnât like the texture of the chicken. We enjoyed the Thai fish cakes and spring rolls for entrees. Service wasnât great. We could hear lots of chit chat in the kitchen. My husband was going to have another beer but the waitress didnât come back to see if we wanted another drink, the restaurant was very empty, only four tables. Unfortunately we wonât be coming back. It was a real pity as we often enjoyed ourselves whenever we ate there previously.

I was craving Japanese and we found this hidden little place along the main strip near the beach. We didnât have a booking and despite the restaurant being half empty this seemed to be a bit of a strain. The food was nice we got some teriyaki chicken and yakiniku beef. The food was tasty and fresh but the servings were small for the price. Service was good. Thank you for your review and we are glad that you found our restaurant from very busy street of Mornington. We are always thriving to be better for service and food. So thank you for your opinion so we can reflect your opinion for our restaurant.

The quality of the food at Sakura is excellent. Typical of a good japanese restaurant, the chef's ensure wonderful quality and flavour in all of their dishes, and they offer a great variety of options. We especially like their sake selection and prices - very reasonable! The sushi and sashimi are always fresh, the scallops 3 ways are excellent, and everything we've ever had has been great. Once we found this restaurant, we went back 3 times in less than 2 weeks - it quickly became a favorite. We highly recommend

We had a party of 10 people for a birthday dinner at Thai Makong restaurant. From the first point of call of booking the table to paying at the end we had a wonderful experience. We spoke with them throughout the week to confirm time and number of people in the party and paid $100 deposit which was understandable. Our contact was Leanne who was very helpful throughout the whole process and made us all feel very welcome in the restaurant. The food for meat eaters and veggies were awesome and couldn't complain about a thing. As we were finishing up and getting ready to pay, they brought out some small cupcakes for the birthday boy which was a lovely surprise. We all thought this was very thoughtful. After the cakes we were going to leave again and they handed over a bottle of wine. WOW what service and lovely gesture. We have wonderful reviews for this restaurant for service, food and attention to customers - what a place! We will be back again to share this beautiful restaurant with our family and friends. Thanks Leanne, see you soon.We have a new film out on YouTube called Things To Do in Mornington, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by Travel Unravels The World which you might enjoy:) We hadn't discovered Thai Makong when we filmed, but if we do another, we will be sure to promote your wonderful place and food.

Spent 48 dollars on a seafood plate which was a disgrace, tiny portion size. Wife ordered the Risotto which was good. Food pretty averaged and overpriced but the service was exceptional. If it wasnât for the service I probably wouldâve rated it 1 star.
