Reviewed By pkharris1My wife and I visited Viadana and its surroundings for several days in early July. The location of this hotel is about thirty minutes from Parma and 1.5 hours from Lake Garda. There are many small interesting villages close to Viadana. Hotel Motel Giglio was extremely clean, offered an excellent European breakfast, and the staff was friendly and kind. I would not hesitate to visit this establishment again.

Reviewed By timmo2016I Have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for nearly 30 years. Over time it has hardly changed, which can be a good thing. The Family that run it, work really hard to provide great local classics , just try the perfect Parma ham, salamis, and culotello. seasonal dishes are always at the heart of the sufficiently wide menu offering classic plates, sea food dishes , what is interestingly named as land dishes ( Meats ) and vegetarian dishes to complete what they are prepared to offer. It’s a pleasure to explore and they are proud they generate joy for their guests. Try the local Vino Nero “Lambrusco “ which is slightly frizzante with ever such a delicate bubble., served young and cool. Heaven and it bears no relation to the commodity exported wine by the same name. Decoration is simple country cottage style , with an eclectic mix of chairs. The Patron ,Sergio , after Dinner service is complete, which is never rushed and not open until 7:30pm, can be seen relaxing in the cosy bar watching TV until midnight. Special favourite is Champions League Football in the Season. The rooms are quirky and a throwback to the past, simple but clean and have a charm that reminds you that not everywhere needs to be a promoted corporate brand to eat well and be comfortable for a night or two. Oh the WiFi is reliable and complimentary. It’s a hidden Gem and challenging to find but worth it for sure. dont be put off if you drive onto what appears to be a pedestrian zone in the centre of Town. Enjoy!

Nice Family Run Hotel
Reviewed By Patricia LIf you are in this area and require accomodation I would definetly recommend LaVela, it is a mile or so from the centre of Viadana but to be honest if you are visiting here you will have your own transport. The rooms are clean and have everything you will require including air conditioning. Breakfast is continental and included in the price. The owners are very nice and helpful.
