So splendid was medieval Verona that its reputation alone inspired Shakespeare to set two plays here (Romeo and Juliet and The Two Gentlemen of Verona). Though its connection to the actual Capulets is tenuous at best, the so-called Juliet's House draws half a million tourists per year, many of them keen on reenacting the balcony scene. Don't miss the Roman amphitheater and the Palazzo Barberi.

Lovely, friendly, not-stuffy, and excellent food. We went a la carte and each of the four of us were very pleased with the food. The waiter also recommended a fine and reasonably-priced red wine. Scampi and foie gras? Brilliant. What flavor!

In a neighborhood just outside the center of Verona. Quiet street, easy to find parking. Feels like mostly locals here. I think we may have been the only tourists here!
Leonardo, the owner is very charming and very warm
And welcoming. His mother makes the delicious homemade pasta.
Portions are very generous, and all of the food is very delicious.
Unfortunately we did not have any room left for dessert
We will come back Leonardo!

NOT FOR FAST FOODERS! Booking highly suggested. A credit card deposit can be requsted to confirm a booking.
After Reading the reviews on trip advisor we decided to visit on our first night in Verona. The restaurant is cosy and filled with interesting and quirky trinkets and curiosities has a lovely welcoming feel. Especially on a cold snowy March evening! We were served by a charismatic gentlemen who we assumed was the owner, offered excellent advice on the dishes and wine choices and was a prominent face in the restaurant all evening. Food was amazing and matched the reviewed hype. Lots of dishes local to the Verona area are served. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. My aubergine starter was fantastic. Would recommend and return to if in Verona again. Also recommend booking ahead, we were lucky to find a table free.

Italian Food, homemade pastas, the specialty is the meat (Chianina) cook on sight in the fireplace. Great for lunch and dinner, outdoor Seating with Arena view. Accept Reservations after Concerts and Lyrical Opera.
Hi was in Verona in October and did a tour of Lake Garda, said to guide would love a steak and she recommended La Griglia. Great steak, but must admit my medium rare needed a return to the kitchen, but the new steak fabulous. staff a little pretentious, but again this is easy to overcome with Australian openness and a wonderful evening for a single older woman

the restaurant and 'closed for holidays reopens September 4
Much more than value for money, cheef himself and all waiters available and servicing all guests full time with smile and enthusiasm. Food was great, tasty and nicely served, wine proposals did meet the dinner we had excellently. Environment was everything you can imaging of local restaurant, clean, tidy, well organised, great place to have dinner if you like to feel what locals are having. We propose for all of you to visit Trattoria dal Taio.

We discovered this place by accident as it was just down the road from where we stayed, and I'm very glad we did! The best thing about this place is the atmosphere, it's quite intimate, but the brick vaulted ceiling gives it a feeling of luxury. The walls are lined with old books and wine bottles.
We first saw the place when we went for coffee, and booked a table for the following evening as we loved the place so much. We had a wonderful meal here, and decided it was the place we were going to try to local dish Amarone risotto, it certainly didn't disappoint. We proceeded to go back for coffee two other mornings of the trip because we enjoyed being in there so much! It's a slight walk from the centre into the older part of the city, but totally worth it.

We stopped in for lunch after stumbling upon the restaurant. The owner was very helpful in explaining to us the process and different pastas. We all got the tortellini sampler and it was fantastic!!!! The BBQ was by far our favorite, don’t be scared to try it!! We had two bottles of wine and 4 tortellini bowls and spent €50. I would definitely recommend stopping in. We will be stopping in again Before we leave!!!

We went to Archivio three times and were really impressed by the quality of the cocktails on the first two visits (I have the feeling that the guy behind the bar was the owner and really proud of his cocktails, particularly the Moscow mule which they do with their own ginger beer), but the third time we were rather disappointed as the cocktails were not up to the same standard and the service was also a bit slapdash.

My friends and I stopped here for lunch and got our food within 10 min. There isn't a lot of Seating, but the piadinis make excelent meals to go.
