Hotel Indigo Chicago-Vernon Hills, an IHG Hotel

Close to local attractions and businesses, the Hotel Indigo® Chicago Vernon Hills hotel is perfect for any trip, business or pleasure. To put it plainly, our rooms are "huge," each with its own sitting area, and our staff is passionate about providing each and every guest with personalized service. The nearby Cuneo Mansion and Gardens serve as inspiration for our hotel's artwork, and the whole space evokes an upscale feel, with a front desk that occupies a two-story lobby: expansive, but not at all unwelcoming. The indoor heated pool is relaxing, and our martini bar serves up 25 special versions of the cocktail.

Prior to arriving, we called the hotel and asked for a handicapped accessible room. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that all the king bed rooms were assigned, but our room had a queen bed. It did not. It was a double. We were then given a room with supposedly two queen beds. They were not. They were double beds. On the third try we were given a king room. Success. Wait. Not so fast. When getting ready to go to bed, we discovered that our room had no cold water. None. Whatsoever. Let me repeat. No. Cold. Water. Even the toilet water was hot. (And speaking of toilets, incredibly low toilets. This is 2022, people. Put some chair-height toilets in. They're not that expensive. ) Reported the problem, was told maintenance didn't arrive until morning, but gave me 4 bottles of water so we could at least brush our teeth. In the morning, still no cold water. We couldn't take a shower...too hot. Couldn't wait to leave the hotel. When I complained to the front desk upon check-out, I was told she was sorry and would I like a bottle of water? What? She also claimed that because my reservation was made through hotels.com, my room would automatically not be a king bed. My hotel.com reservation clearly states handicapped accessible, king bed. (Here's the reservation verbiage: "Standard Room, 1 King Bed, Accessible, Non Smoking (Mobil Roll In Shwr) - Advance Purchase Offers") There was never an offer to credit part or all of our stay. It was as though they simply really did not care. Would never stay at an Indigo hotel again. Major fail, IHG hotels.

I have been staying here often on for eight years. Whenever I am in the area it is where I book a room. It’s extremely safe, quiet location. Incredibly clean, the hospitality staff is way above average. One of the nicer extended stays in the country. And it appears there going to be upgraded even further.

My Husband daughter and I spent most of Memorial Day Weekend in this lovely hotel. Even though there was a small mix up on what room we were to be in, my daughter and I swam quite a bit in their pool, (reservations required) and had a great relaxing time in the room weended up in. My only negitive was that there was only yogart and fruit as a breakfast option. My family isnt real fond of yogart, and there was only two oranges left in the bowl. As for the mask issue, we were pleased with the fact that we didnt need one if we were vaccinated. I loved the Staff, very nice people. Including the Son and Mom Team that figured out our room issue. Thank you!
