Reviews on Bar food in Woodstock, Vermont, United States. Named the "quintessential New England village," the town of Woodstock is chock full of charming Americana, including a covered bridge smack in the center of town and a village green surrounded by restored Georgian, Federal Style and Greek Revival homes. Spend a day wandering under the shade of 400-year-old hemlock trees at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park and then revitalize yourself at Sugarbush Farm, where you can taste maple syrup or 14 varieties of cheese for free.

We dined here as part of a womenâs weekend. The food was good, and the decor attractive. Hostess was friendly, but service was slow. Most detracting feature was the volume of the place. The restaurant is spacious with few tables, yet it was impossible to hear friendsâ conversations. Seating outside on the porch is recommended to avoid this problem.

This was a recommendation we received from.the place we were staying at. We were a little skeptical about it being all it was said to be ... We were pleasantly surprised! Service was a bit slow because we arrived just moments.after a high school baseball team (understandable) but we were.glad we waited. Our salads we're freshly made, the ceasar had an incredible fresh made dressing, and the lemon garlic vinaigrette was uniques and delicious. The "original Sicilian" pizza we ordered was one of the best pizzas we 've ever had. Crust was thick but so light, lots of cheese, good sauce. We regret that we don't live closer. If we did, we would be regulars for sure. P.s. we had the chance to speak to the owner on the way out ... He personally apologized for the delay due to the busload of kids and told us it was a rare busy Monday for him as he was.working on an order of a dozen pizzas for the firefighters fighting a forest fire down the road a bit. Very nice guy, and a great chef!!

What else can I say except, exceptional! From the warm greeting at the front desk and then at the Bistro while being brought to our incredible porch table. Incredible views of West Woodstock coupled with incredible food and gracious service really made our special occasion that much better. We were told to relax, take it all in and were given other recommendations of things in the area. We hope to return soon and hopefully for a stay overnight next time. I give 506 and their staff my highest recommendation.

The essence of Vermont and flavor-driven small plates are paired with a bar featuring local craft brews and spirits at Richardson's Tavern. A relaxed atmosphere invites warm conversation and friendly company among friends and family. Dine al fresco on the
This is a perfect spot for a casual meal. The tavern is a comfortable spot, with a bar near the entrance and a large dining area, including outdoor space. Keep it simple (burgers are great) and you will be very happy with the food and the space.Thank you for joining us in Richardson's Tavern for a few dinners during your recent ten-day stay at our resort, and for the kind words about the food and service.Burgers at The tavern are always terrific and thereâs nothing like a great burger and a delicious craft beer on a hot summer night⦠or a col autumn evening! Weâre over the moon that you and your family trusted us enough to reserve a ten-day stay sight-unseen, and that everything worked out so wonderfully for you. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you âhomeâ to Woodstock, to The Woodstock Inn & Resort, and to Richardson's Tavern many, many more times in the near future!Warm regards,Rick Reno, Resort Training Manager

Very hipsterâyoung children who were well behaved were given the evil eye by most customers. Food selection is limited, but the best thing on the menu was the Vegan bowl. Mac-n-cheese was bland as was the buttermilk ranch dressing, which soaked the salad but added zero flavor. It was like eating wet leaves. Even in a no -peak time it took 45 minutes for mac n cheese, salad, a vegan bowl and a burger. Also I hate the system where we have to stand in line to order (drinks as well as food) from the bartenders and then get a table. They will seat you, but then you have to go get the food when your buzzer goes off. Tight space with patrons traversing with trays full of food, dodging each other and the food ordering line is a recipe for an uncomfortable dining experience.
