Pizza and salad offerings that are creative and tasty. The salad dressing is light and delicious. I'm not a pizza fan, but the flatbread was really good. I understand that a lot of the ingredients are locally sourced.

Good, imaginative pizzas (and waffles!). The owner/chef is clearly into providing an excellent pizza experience, and the restaurant is the only such place that is part of the ski mountain village and, happily, close to the ski mountain and condo/homes on the mountain.

I have traveled extensively and have enjoyed all types of vacations/hotels/restaurants from extravagant to economical. My reviews are with an eye for understanding where I am in the world and that there are a world of differences. Based on my strong opinion that you don't have to be a Michelin rated restaurant to garner a 5 star rating, I'm giving The Avalanche high marks. It's all about the total experience when you bring your wallet to a place. First impression - Wow - they are smiling and welcoming (FYI, the smiles and general good will never stop - it's not fake). They like what they are doing and it shows. Service - excellent. Wood fired Pizza's - excellent. Salads - very good! Libation choices - great and bartender is super nice, friendly and knowledgeable. .Thank you staff for a great food and experience. I'll be back!

My family and I stayedin the area for about 1 week during Spring break. We found out about The Blue Stone by accident and it was a great surprise! The food, the service and the vibe were great! Itâs a really good place for families,couples or groupe of friends + the prices are reasonable (compared to others in the area)
