A cousin and I ate dinner here and it was just wonderful. Easily overlooked, the diner has great views of the Lamoille River, and is in the heart of town. Obviously popular with the locals (always a good sign) they have a varied menu, with plenty of specials on the board. My cousin had a chicken strips dinner and I had the pan-seared haddock. She had fries, I had mashed potatoes (real, not instant) and we both had the butternut squash which was seasoned perfectly. You will NOT go away hungry. They had a list of wonderful desserts but we were far too full for any.Terrific food in a great setting, coupled with friendly and efficient service. This is a gem of a find and I hope to return on this trip.

POSITIVE COMMITMENT Harvesting Italian flavors and infusing them with a Vermont sensibility, our pledge is to take our food seriously. We are fully committed to making from-scratch, eclectic and delicious plates while always hand-tossing our pizzas. Our b
We were in town for a massage and decided to stop in Positive Pie. It looked very dingy on the outside but was even worse on the inside. To say drab is an understatement, but we ventured in anyway. They had just lost their electricity, so we asked if we could get a drink and pay by cash. The young man said he would need to check with the bartender, who was sitting at the bar. So, we waited, and waited...... he finally said yes. Then we asked if they could warm up a slice of pizza for us. He wasn't "sure" (the oven had flames)...finally he said he could. It was beginning o feel like we were in their way. The electric came back on and 2 young girls came and and ordered pizza to go with drinks to go. The bartender came immediately over to them and then shooed them away when they tried to pay for their order! Hmmmmm We forced down the reheated pizza and I ordered a martini. The atmosphere was very, very odd. A lot of locals were hanging out. We felt like outcasts! When I got my bill. I was charged $14.00 plus tax for 1 martini!!!! I could not believe my eyes. I asked the server if this was right, and she said yes. I said, we aren't in New York City we are in Hardwick. She just smiled. Never again. Other than being overcharged for a drink, the place was just dirty and the staff rude.I'm sorry about your experience at PPie Hardwick. We will work hard to improve and thank you for the feedback. It is important and something we take seriously! We hope you will give us another chance!

Delicious meals that are good portion size for price. Loved the vegan lasagna, and my family loved their seafood entrees. Appetizers delicious as well: vegetable spring rolls and excellent garden salad with homemade maple balsamic dressing. Comfortable setting and sleek ambiance.
Popped in here when we couldn't get in the Positive Pie and were not disappointed. We enjoyed fantastic homemade food, we ate Shepard's Pie and Pork Chop with Mac and cheese. They don't serve alcohol but allow you to bring your own. Excellent meal enjoyed by my wife and I.
