The Butcher Block restaurant in Plattsburgh, NY is family owned and specializes in steak and seafood, but offers a wide variety of delicious options.
This is an informal type place with an extensive menu, competent waitstaff and lots to eat. Skip breakfast and lunch before going here for dinner. Thereâs a well stocked salad bar, a soup tureen, good drink selection and huge, well prepared entrees. We were too full to sample the deserts. High on the list of places to go when in the area.

Twisted Comfort Food
Had lunch with six other colleagues. Place was a little busy, maybe twenty patrons. Only one waitress working, she had one helper. Service was super slow, took more than half an hour yo get our food. Not the waitressâ fault, she was running all over the place. Really feel bad for her. The food was okay, had the cheese streak Mac. It was tasty but very filling. I was done after only half the dish. Tried the clam chowder, it was very creamy and very little clams. Not bad but will not go out of the way to eat here again. Interesting decorations with old lunch boxes and posters.

Sip is just about to celebrate their one year anniversary. We stopped by this weekend for a beer and an appetizer. Very nice! They offer about a half dozen selections of draft beers that are typically not found elsewhere. Their Sweet Potato Nachos were to die for. Delish! Very friendly service. The decore makes it a comfortable spot to stop into for a drink or a bite to eat. My only complaint, and I had the same issue with their predecessor The Bagel Pit when they occupied this space, is that itâs cold inside. The front door, everytime it is open, letâs winter in at full force. Of course, this isnât an issue during the warmer months of the year. My solution would be to construct a curtain near the door to help block out the cold as guests come and go. Even with this complaint, we plan to be return customers due to all the positives Sip has.

Situated on Lake Champlain in downtown Plattsburgh, NY. The Naked Turtle Holding Co. is a waterfront restaurant and bar that lives and breathes to make it's patrons feel as if they are on vacation!
Service was awful, and that was the best thing I can say about our visit. Food was just...not edible, and overpriced. Our server told us the kitchen staff all quit at once and they had teen age dish washers cooking the food. OH BOY...THat should about sum it upI am very sorry to learn about your disappointing experience at the Naked Turtle. A complete management change has been made as a result of last season's poor performance. We assure you a better experience in 2019 if you will give us another chance. Thank you for your feedback.

I have been here twice and I would recommend it. They have live music on the patio in the summer. You can also walk off the street for the music if you just want drinks - sit under the big white tent. The mixed drinks are very good, but also pricey so donât order more than 2. I love their Brussels Sprouts small bites as an app.

We went with another couple and had an amazing time. Our waitress was so professional and friendly, she made the night. My husband like to tease the waitresses and she was a great sport. They had a special that night that was out of this world with taste. We sat in a nice quite booth with the decor very Italian. Highly recommend this restaurant to all.

We love craft beer and are always changing our taps. We serve specialty pizzas, burgers and sandwiches! With a pool table and dart board, in a family friendly atmosphere, we have something for everyone!
It's my Monday Margarita place and they're STILL BIG, tasty and ONLY $4 ALL night. I paired it with a special burger that IF I remember properly had green apples, bacon and cheese BUT tasted awesome. This one came with fires standard as well as a pickle. I have some problem remembering because I HAD TWO Margaritas this particular time. You'll just have to trust me when I say they're worth it. I've NEVER been disappointed with either the drinks or the food anytime I've eaten here.

Thank you once again Trip Adviser reviewers for pointing us in the right direction. Valcour Brewery is a yummy place to stop for a beer and a burger. Behold, the Wilbur. A burger with pulled pork, onion rings, and cheese curd. Total yumminess. Combine this with a perfect pint of your favorite beer and great service and what more can you ask for?

I've tried this place several times now. The chicken tastes like rubber more that it does any type of legitimate meat. The pasta itself is so overcooked it dissolves into a paste in you mouth. The weird chunks the chicken is cut into leads me to believe it is processed in a factory god knows where, then frozen and shipped to this place. Then there's the 50 different sauces for the chicken wings. Do you really think they're making them from scratch?Service is downright rude, interior is dingy with sticky tables.Restaurant is suffering from a severe identity crisis. An Irish pub serving bad Italian food? It needs to rethink itself. Won't be going back unless they start serving actual food that's not frozen and microwaved.
