The Little Rooster Cafe is small, but the food is fantastic. In all the years we have been going to VT, this was the first time we had tried eating here - 7/19. Great, bring your appetite. Clean and very cute. The staff really works hard to provide a quality menu with some unique ingredient combinations as well as some of the traditional choices. We are so glad that you had a great experience and would definitely be delighted to have you return. Thanks for your vote of approval.

When we asked the waitress what she thought of the pot roast she said itâs a slab of meat with gravy. This kind of summarizes this very average slow meal with the elder states folks of the traditional American restaurant scene. Food average, based on granmas recipes of meat and potatoes. If you want American classics save your money and have granma make it cause sheâll make it better. The building is very historic and classic which draws you and every person older than me (61yr) in. Apparently they are regulars for the tasteless pot roast with less than great mashed potatoes. Their twist on chicken pot pie was a casserole that was just ok with an odd spice. Think more before you spend over $20 / entre with my old peers. Thank you for giving us a go, but I am sorry you were not pleased with your meal. First and foremost, a restaurant (or any place) should not be harshly judged by the demographics of its guests. We welcome and encourage people of all ages to come to our historic Tavern for dinner. We are fortunate to have many diners of all ages who repeatedly eat here and become members of our 'Tavern family'. As in all families, some are younger and some are older. As to your other point, we cannot fathom that any of our dedicated service team members would describe our pot roast as a 'slab or meat with gravy'. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and hope you will give us another try. Cheers! Michael

Copper Grouse is a new restaurant in Manchester, VT serving American comfort food classics with Vermont warmth and charm.
We visited this restaurant because our hotel had closed its restaurant for a private event. The waitress was quite unfriendly and not very helpful. The food was ok. Not fantastic but perfectly edible although very expensive. The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was quite busy.Thank you for sharing you experience with us. Reviews such as yours provides us with the ability for additional training. We hope to see you in the near future, our standards of service were clearly below par that evening.

Oh my goodness it is crazy busy at lunch! Lots of choices...but NO gluten free bread. Abrupt staff, do to pace I am sure. Outside seating. Salads ok.

What a fabulous dining experience the Reluctant Panther is! From the warm welcome we received as we made our reservation(yes someone actually answered our phone call during this mud season!) to the attentiveness of the wait staff and greeters. We own a local motel here in town and our guests invited us to a birthday celebration as they wanted a casual yet fine dining experience. This was our own first time dining here and I cannot rave enough about our experience . Presentation was wonderful-timing was just right and our waitperson was helpful and even above and beyond when we expressed allergy concerns. KUDOS to chef Sigal and her staff. OMG the food is fantastic, well priced, generous portion and to me-the presentation was the epitome of the experience. Locally sourced and tastefully prepared Our guests felt special and were thrilled to have found a new restaurant for their next trip back to VT. As Vermont Ambassador's we are always on the lookout for the true VT experience in hospitality and dining--Reluctant Panther will be on the top of our list! Bravo--and THANK YOU for a great evening out!

We both enjoyed the exceptional Maryland crab cakes, accompanied by a nice bottle of Reado Chardonnay. Desserts of the chocolate brownie a la mode and the Gran Marnier invention also were outstanding. We appreciated the highly personable attention of Melody, one of the owners. We only regret that we are from out of state and not able to dine again at the Slver Fork.

It is always fun to go a brunch and find a wide variety of appetizing food. The Arlington Inn Restaurant was that place for us this Easter. There was an omelet station with a chef preparing your personal choice of ingredients, the fresh fruit was plentiful, the appetizers included smoked trout, which was my favorite, as well as brie and other cheeses. The roast beef and ham was plentiful and accompanied by an assortment of vegetables including perfectly prepared asparagus. The desert table was enticing, especially the stuffed crepes and a delicious chocolate creation. The wait staff was attentive and efficient. I would highly recommend a visit to Arlington Inn Restaurant. It was a great experience from beginning to end.

This was our first time staying at West mountain. Got checked in by the owner Amy with her friendly dog Luna. She showed us around the to our room #6 at the top of the stairs, small but comfy room with a seperate sitting area like a closed in porch with a view of the grounds, Alpaca barn and mountains. After driving and shopping all day we enjoyed sitting on the porch with some snacks and a glass of wine watching the sun set! breakfast on Thanksgiving morning was casual and delicious sitting by the fire with a nice view. We then spent the morning walking there trails that are on the 150 acres they own, hiked up to cedar rock to take in the view that was worth the climb. We returned to the Inns common rooms and the cozy pub, relaxing with a glass of wine by the wood burning fire and chatting with the other friendly guests. We found out that most of these people have been coming to the Inn with there family for decades. The turkey dinner was great very traditional and very good, it was comfortable sitting near the fire in spacious dinning room. I must say that the four course Thanksgiving dinner was a very reasonable $42 per person and the choices besides the turkey sounded great. After the apple and pumpkin pie for dessert we couldn't eat one more piece of food!! Every one here was friendly even though they were working the holiday , Paul out dinner waiter and the breakfast waitress ( sorry forgot her name) were on point! My really only small complaint is that the walls are thin and some noise can be heard for the other rooms, but this will not stop us from returning for another stay. It's rare that you find a Inn like this that has been owned by the same family for over 40 years. Maybe we will start our own tradition and stay for years to come and hope to run into the people we meet this year again !

We felt like we were eating at Gramâs. We had breakfast which was delicious....I had an egg and a pancake. Both wonderful and the pancake came with yummy pure maple syrup. My husband had the meat lovers omelet which was true to its name. Our server was so dear, I would have loved if she could have sat with us!! . Our table allowed us a show of an endless variety of birds landing to partake of a huge table type feeder of sunflower seeds. Weâre stopping tomorrow on our way home!!!
