Things to do in La Guaira

Located along the Riveria Rio Guiare, La Balconata, as the name suggests offers outside dining. The view is not too inspiring (unless, of course, you find pleasure in viewing flyovers and concrete support pillars) however it's nice to be able to find a location in Las Mercedes with an outside dining option. Seated on the balcony we were attended to quickly with a range of drink options (pleasant to find both white and red Sangria being offered) and a good selection of Italian favorites. Particularly noteworthy were the salads and antipasta (both well presented, very generous in portion size and tasty). Mains were also very generous in size hence pizza in the fridge for breakfast. A good option for a family dinner.

The music is perfect, staff is really friendly and you get a perspective of beautiful Caracas from the top. There is dresscode so avoid shorts, caps and converse shoes.I order a fish salad which is around 1200 BVs. This place is very classy and the food is awesome.Great welcome to Venezuela, I've been here just a few hours and I already love this place.

This is a traditional place for pizzas at Las Mercedes, Caracas. I have been going there for many years. Service is nice and pizzas are great and made thin crust and in a wood oven.Try the Siciliana with black olives and sweet onions, the prosciutto one and also the Capresa. They make a very good crepe filled with sweet corn that is gratinated with cheese. Pastas are good too.To drink beer and fruit juices.

We love the pizza here! They are famous for their white sauce pizza which is so good but the more traditional tomato sauce based pizzas are delicious too. They also serve fresh fruit drinks and the bakery below has delicious pastries and coffee. A must-stop for a casual meal in El Hatillo.

Very cost effective place and most important: Delicius. The antipasto is great. Try the "ceviche" and ask the waiter for the special pasta of the day. You'll go right.
