Poor customer experience!
Reviewed By Inger AWe were very excited about our stay at the Storhogna Högfjällshotell & Spa. We had had multiple conversations with the staff at the hotel prior, as we had some concerns about safety and appropriate measures during the pandemic. When we got to the hotel, we were greeted by staff at the reception. The first thing she said to us was " you need to hurry up now, the last dinner seating is in 10 minutes and you can only stay for 2 hours". This in itself just doesn't feel like the way you should greet guests, who are paying a premium price to stay with you. Second, we rushed down to dinner only to be greeted with 50+ people in the dining room area. We told the host that we did not feel safe so they seated us in the reception. Even the waiter himself said he didn't feel safe. Generally speaking, we did not feel like the hotel was taking the appropriate and / or expected safety measures during the pandemic. There were kids running everywhere (full-on daycare experience) so we decided to eat in our room. The food was awful. My husband couldn't even eat it, it was just really really bad food. Worse than canteen style! In the room, there were candy wrappers under the bed from previous guest. We were worried about the cleanliness so we disinfected the full space upon arrival. We were debating all night what to do as we really didn't think that the experience would be be pleasing. I think what was mostly disappointing is that we were paying 5000 kr per night and we felt tricked with the daycare setting, horrible food experience. As a paying guest, you expect to get what you pay for and this was definitely not! We had driven so long so we decided to stay one day to ski. One positiv thing about the hotel is the Skicenter located across the street from the property. Super friendly, very helpful when you rent skis. Also the surroundings are nice, around the hotel and also in Klövsjö which we loved. Nature on a beautiful level! We complained to the owner and we were very pleased that they could refund us for the 2 nights remaining of our stay. This was another added + for them, they accommodated our request to leave and refund us for the nights we did not want to stay. I would not recommend this hotel. Corrected, perhaps if you go off season, pay a lower cost for the night and have no expectations on food. And / or if you are a big family where kids and roam free, then it could be a good ide. As a couple paying premium prices, go somewhere else!

Double booked by the owners
Reviewed By Timetochill2How disappointing that over a month after booking the cottage for a 1 night stay In Feb 2019 I have now been informed that it had been double booked. I was offered a large room in the house but with shared bathroom facilities which I was not prepared to accept. Unfortunately nearly all the accommodation is now booked which means I have to pay more and research all over again. Not good service at all.

Reviewed By tomblosBooked an apartment with Skistar for me and my wife. During checkout I ticked the checkbox for bedclothes and paid the extra cost. Upon arrival we noticed that the queen sized bed had 4 pillows but Skistar only provided one pillowcase. The sheet only covered half he bed. I Went down to guest service and they informed me that if I want a proper solution I have to pay for one bedset more. Skistar only have bedsets for single beds. In the bed I tried to stay close to my wife and the sheet we had paid for, suddenly the bed opened and I feel down on the floor. Guest Service informed me that it´s not possible to sleep in the middle of the bed because they put two single beds together. Now it´s time to wake up my wife, it´s my turn to stay on the sheet.
