Unacceptable attitude
Reviewed By Taxidiotis2014Let me first describe this hotel : it's not good, it's not bad, the paint is peeling off the windows (also inside !) and the location is not "whaw". There is a small parking behind the hotel, that during my stay was largely filled with building materials and tools. The bathroom is somewhat old fashioned, but functional. Normally I would give 3/5 for this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel operator gave me upon arrival the key of a room at the ground floor (small, dark) and asked me to pay in advance, which I did. Then I went to my room and noticed there was no electricity, which the man at the reception clearly knew. This was really a shame : YOU DON'T MAKE PEOPLE PAY FOR A ROOM IF YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW IF YOU ARE ABLE TO GUARANTEE ELECTRICITY IN THAT ROOM ! Disgusting attitude ! Disgusting. I made clear this was fully unacceptable and then I was given another room at the first floor, where there was electricity. This happened to be a double room, which the hotel owner probably hoped to rent at a higher price, by sending me to the dark room without electricity. Disgusting attitude ! And this was not an oblivion, but really bad intention. Disgusting !

Reviewed By PthalhammerWe really enjoyed our stay at PM Vänner. Very stylish and well maintained rooms. In addition, the breakfast was amazing. The food (and especially the bread) was of superior quality and everything felt fresh and tasty. The pool and sauna was great as well. All in all a perfect stay.

Very satisfied with the meals but cleaning and service lacked
Reviewed By 836magnuspWe stayed four nights in a family room with two kids and two adults. The room was a very good size and nicely arranged. Unfortunately the cleaning standard was too low with a lot of dirt/dust under the beds, sofa, and carpets. The sofa was missing a leg. There is one cleaning in the room every third day. We asked for removal of dirty coffee cups and replacements of towels on day two. Although told be the reception that this was arranged nothing happened. I asked about laundry service at the reception. Travelling with two kids we basically just needed to fill a washing machine with mixed clothes. Looking at their pricelist this would cost us manu thousands of Kroner since for example one t-shirt was 100kroner. The reception had no alternatives for this way of doing a was that in our old household would cost maybe 10kroner The breakfeast was simple and nice. The dinner was better than expected!

Terrible stay
Reviewed By kilroy4everRoom 200 includes a bed which I suppose is between 20-30 years old. I paid app. 1.500 SEK for a terrible experience. I chose todays dinner menu. I can´t say it tasted bad or good, because it didn´t taste of anything.

Lovely location
Reviewed By Wallywanderer23I recently spent 3 nights as a solo traveller in the Växjö Hostel Evedal. The journey from the airport to the hostel was relatively easy - 2 different bus connections and then a brief 15 minute walk!! Absolutely worth being just that little bit out of the way though. The hostel is situated in a beautiful campground surrounded by nature and forests. The constant birdsong made the atmosphere very pleasant. The hostel is also facing the Lake. There are many bike trails in this area and it only takes 20 minutes to bike to town - easy as. I definitely recommend getting around by bike! The room’s are pretty standard. Bed linen and towels are available for hire from the reception and there is also an optional breakfast available each morning (at a cost!!). The floor is super creaky but otherwise everything was good. The two ladies at reception were both friendly. If I am to visit Växjö again, I would return to this hostel. Quite satisfactory :-)

Reviewed By DorisHeimgartnerThis hotel is a gem, especially the surroundings. It is located at a beautiful lake and the view is fantastic. The bakery has a cozy café with a great terrace and garden. The rooms are not to big, but they are clean and cute and there's a fridge/minibar, terrace with chairs and a table and a bathroom with a window. Breakfast is just about perfect; the room is located in Villa Vik, a stunning mansion in the park next to the hotel and they offer a broad buffet. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Reviewed By Andrea NMy room was like a cell in the prison. The ventilation system was very loud all night, I cannot sleep. Ect ... I not recommend this place at all. For this money you can get much better room and service somewhere else.
